fevered dreams

In my dream, I assume it was a dream, my right foot is translucent. I can see that much, from my roost at the end of the bed. I stare, unassumingly at the fevered form before me, my own. Which is when I start to feel my head arguing with my hands. They are, the both of them, having difficulty articulating why the cd is roling down the side of my leg, they only know that the other is wrong. This does not seem right to me, this rancor amongst my self. It takes a great deal of willpower to do so, but I force my eyes open, and see my room unchanged. I feel numb, but I am focused on my every nerve. Perhaps my level of control has shifted with the paradigm. As I stretch, uncomfortable to be in my own body, the voice in the back of my mind asks if the dream had been a lucid one. I have no answer. I feel my palms. The fever has died down, but the dementia, it seems, it here to stay.

Yeah. what's the wierdest thing your brain has done to you?

Trippy. Oh so trippy. Write that down and put it in a book. Best seller material. :D

I don't think i can match that, not sure i'll even try. I did once dream i had a perfectly normal school day, where everything was exactly normal and it felt like it lasted 24 hours. Screwed me up coz i spent the next day convinced i'd already had this day before. That got me some weird looks.

what, deja vu? i get that all the time. i'll dream conversations, events, random doings, and days, months, years later they'll happen. Or, if the theory is right, synapses in my brain are firing off-kilter.

Yeah, that's happened to me before... I also once dreamt i was a little girl (think alice in wonderland) but i don't think i'll go into that any further

hmmm... I've had some really strange semi-dreams, where I'm awake but can't think straight... usually they involve magic or sci-fi... very peculiar.
I'm female in virtually all of my dreams, though, but that doesn't surprise me in the least. The only exceptions is where I'm everyone in my dream. Now that's strange. The one last night involved me having terrible red-eye. That was it.

When I dream, which I do very often, it always seems like my brain is on LSD. Good times.

I am often everyone in my dreams. I am also often a woman in my dreams. one time I was a female and geting raped by some guy. It was very painful and scary.

Plus I have also dreamt of the future exactly as it would happen. One time I dreamt I wole up to some show on the radio and what they were saying on said show and then I woke up to that show on the radio and they were saying what I heard in my dream word for word.

Yeah, of course you should.

Me, I can lucid dream. Makes for some interesting stuff.

one time i dreamt that I was robbing a bank in a mall with some guy - we were casually walking towards the exit of the mall when the alarms went off - we rant to an elevator and started going up (the elevator was one of those glass elevators on teh outside of buildings) - as we were going up my partner in crime started accusing me of setting him up - I pulled out my gun and shot him in teh chest three times - I then shot out the glass to the elevator window and jumped out - as I was falling I shot myself in teh head - i then hit the ground with a thud and was laying there dead as people gathered around me - a dog came up and licked my face and I woke up

dying in dreams is wierd.
My wierdest dream, i think, was this one where, for some reason, i was sitting in th eback of a car driven by 2 people i barely know. We drove around this place i used to live for a while, then we hit a curb head on. Then i fell. I woke up sitting on my bed, which was bouncing, as though i had just fallen on it.

Sounds like you had an out-of-body experience, Sancro. Apparently that kind of hallucination can happen when you have a high fever. I've tried to do it voluntarily a couple of times, but I don't think it works. I've lucid dreamt only once, though... it was really strange. But nice. I made myself fly :D

I'm quite weird in that I write my dreams down in a book. Don't know why, I just think it's interesting. One of my 'favourites' is one from a few weeks ago when I dreamt I was pregnant and my body and the baby were absorbing each other. I could see a cross-section of myself... it looked like a diagram from a biology textbook, but the baby was dissolving into weird fleshy layers, like a leg of pork being cut into bits by an invisible knife.

I also dream about work quite a lot (I work part-time on a pink ice cream stall  ). Once I had a dream that all the sauces had been replaced with different flavours... including sand, grit, and curry.

The weirdest dream I ever had was one where I was outside in the street, but the town had been covered with something (a huge grey sheet?) that made it feel all muggy and hot. My arms had been stung by wasps, and they had left their stings- which were green and gooey like silly putty- in my skin. When I pulled them out, they left deep holes of varying sizes, the largest of which I could fit the tip of my little finger in (!)- and, odder still, when I looked into the holes, I could see they had cut into some sort of channel, like a blood vessel, except the liquid inside was mint-green and as thick as icing. I knew then I wasn't like other human beings, and there was something horrible running through my veins...

Scary stuff.

i am not sure. when i am out at night, i see all kinds of ghosts and weird things creeping in the shadows. not paranoia, because they are clearly a level below my concious state. also, i hear voices a lot, esp. at night. loud enought to wake me up. they say pretty terrible things attimes, but it hasnt upset me yet. maybe thats the part that bothers me.
actually my amazing clairvoyancy would be the most frightening thing. an example- last tuesday, with out thought or warning, i knew the principal that i had in second and third grade had died. i am 3200 miles away, and hadnt talked about school, or anything with my friends. i knew he died. the two days later, his obit was there online. i have guessed peoples parents full names. (these are total strangers in a bar) i have drawn that puppet from the saw for a tattoo, 7 years ago. its never when i try though. it just happens.

most nights i either dont dream or cant remember them. then theres nights where i know ive dreamt, but i cant remember what actually happened.

When i do actually dream, i either get random unconnected images flashing about, or i see a situation played out in third person, or its in first person - in which case, like Jordaxia, im always a girl. if i get woken from one of those i always hate waking up to what i am...

when its one of the more coherent dreams, ill usually forget about it after a few hours, only to have it come back in full force when what happened in the dream gets played out in real life (except in real life im never female...) its like de ja vu, but lost more confusing

when i was a young'n, i had the flu bad. As i was waking my parents, i started to see little cartoony goblins in WW2 fighter craft attacking me. That was probably the most scared i've ever been.

I used to get hit by a lot of deja vu, occasionally recieving the identical dream several times before it plays itself out in life. it's only ever a fragment though, possibly because I find it so difficult to remember my dreams.

same here, except i end up knowing exactly what the other person is going to say, how i will reply, and what they will say to that. I usually brush it off, but it's also interesting to do something else.

I haven't been able to manage that yet. Generally, when I think of doing something different, it always ends up being what I was going to do, anyway. And if I move to do something radically different, then usually, due to the small fragment of time I have the dream, it ends and I can't tell if I done something different or not.

yeah. i think that's a problem inherent to insanity. a problem i share. :D
