My whole life my over protective parents have never let me expirence the joys of life. Now that im twenty years old and a "CrAzY" college student I have started doing things just for shits and giggles. A good example is I went to a night club, a real party, a shooting range, flew a plane, rode jetskis, went sky diving, and hang gliding. Im starting to run out of ideas and I need some suggestions. (Note: I do not drink, smoke, or do drugs of any kind please dont add anything that involes me being anibreated.)

I do all of those things as often as I can and I promise it is really fun! Try it out.

Travel. See some parts of the world you haven't been to. Hell, see some parts of the country you haven't been to.

I dont think I could kill anything, but the other stuff sounds great. Besides I play Paintball so I hunt the ultimate prey.

Im a bit too poor for that, but I was considering getting a job on a container ship for the summer.

I like to build forts out of cushions. All the time. It's great fun at work.

Make up a good excuse*, collect a few friends and several random (very inebriated) folk, and assault a fraternity. It's something every student should do at least once in their college career, and I always think it's great fun.

Concerts. This is so basic that you might include it as a "given" that you didn't need to mention. A notice, if you hear of a band too much, their fans (and thus their concerts) are a pain in the ass. If you've never heard of an opening act, they suck. Just a few caveats


*It's best that some-one else do this for you. Hang out around the "pretty fly (for a white guy)**" crowd around thursday nights, they seem to get jumped every other week, and yet never learn their lessons.

Organize a Scavenger Hunt

Organize or participate in a Road Rally

Try Go Cart or Midget Class Racing

Learn Karate or Tai Kwan Do

I strongly encourage the previously mentioned traveling and rafting/kayaking/canoing of all kinds.

...Climb a 14er... and by that I mean a 14 thousand foot mountain.

(US or Canadian Rockies are the best from my experince... I'm sure there's more... it's incredible.)

Where do you live if you don't mind me asking... the ideas could a little more specific and budget friendly if you gave us that info.

If you are in school and want to travel by all means do a semster some where... being immersed in a different culture is always a trip and I'm sure it would open up a whole new realm of daring possibilites that you never even considered.

There have been some great suggestions along the lines of rafting etc :)
Otherwise, if you'd like a change and want "experiences", try some volunteer work. I've met some of the most amazing people through that - soup kitchens, camps for social services kids, stuff like that. I don't mean to come across as a boring do-gooder, but it's challenging, interesting plus you know you're doing something for other people. But you may have done/be doing that stuff. It was just an idea.
Other stuff you could do...
* organise a wide game (capture the flag in a local forest; it's like a big game of stuck-in-the-mud but invovled rolling down hills and wading through swamps, it's great fun!)
* midnight group walks over the hills by torchlight
* winter surfing (without a wetsuit)
* go for a walk on the beach in a storm and run in the surf
I guess I'm a bit of a tomboy, and I live in the countryside, which helps - some of these suggestions might not be practical depending on your location. Anyhoo... that's stuff I like to do for a natural high.

All of these were great suggestions and i think I will try a few and to awnser a few questions, I live in houston Texas and my budget is about $1000 of extra spending money per month.

Don't know about now, but when I was in college, the ROTC on campus used to allow the other students use the Rapelling tower once a month (weather permitting). I'm sure rock climbing would be more popular, but check out what's available on campus for you...
