Who should run the world?

Atheistic Might

In your opinion, what one person, living, dead, or zombified, would be the best world leader? They can be the head of any form of government (well, with the exception of true democracy), but I would also like to hear the justification.

I don't trust any one person with power. But if I had to choose, I'd say pre-genocide Hitler. He was a strong leader and frighteningly intelligent, if a bit crazy.

Seriously, Gandhi.

For the sheer hell of it, Refused Party Program. Although it would be a bit tricky getting him to take power, him being an anarchist and all...

I'm going to presume that you're talking about an absolutist government, since the topic is "run the world."

Gandhi... or Lincoln... or Margaret Thatcher.

I think I would do a fairly good job of running the world, but I'm not sure I'd take the job unless I knew I would be safe from assassination.

Thomas Jefferson. Or Antonio Nariño (for those who know your colombian/Venezuelan/equadorian history. No, not Bolivar. Though a new "gran Colombia" would be nice. )

Some ancient military general, maybe Ceaser.

There would be lot of revolts if the world was under 1 person no matter who.

If maddox ruled the world it would be all his fault and he wouldn't be able to make fun of anyone without being even more hypocritical.

Personally, I would suggest Lord Vetinari from the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. That guy makes Machiavelli look like a sentimentalist.

Julius Cesar was cool, though Augustus was not. While we're in the time frame, how about Cleopatra?
