Is it just me or has the level of flirting on this forum taken a dramatic hike recently? What is causing this, and why isn't considered spam?

For me it is beginning to get annoying.

Heck, my first girlfriend got her initial crush on me because of my online presence.

After a few years, she flew over from Australia to do naughty things to me.

As such, I have absolutely no qualms in polite flirtation, though, oddly, I don't do much of it here.

Well, I prefer to stay out of the threads where people get all emotional and spout off at one another, but those have always been out of control. If there were just 1 or 2 rational conversations regarding law, economics, government, or religion a day I would be happy.

But I have no problem with friendly joking and stuff like that, it is just that recently a lot of people have been using this forum for social interaction a la instant messenger, and seeing three pages filled up by two people and a million fuffles is slightly annoying.

Most of which was during my "Ubervirgin" stage, which lasted until I was 20 (I only admitted I liked girls when I was 18... eh heh...), when said Aussie seduced me. Took her a week, despite her being -extremely- attractive in every sense. The initial crush that spawned this event years prior, was due to my portrayal of "Torus Firewalker". I was, in short, the most sought after character on there, probably DUE to my not being in to relationships at that time.

The gal also had whatever that date rape drug was.

I was nudged a few dozen times, essentially, as to whether I'd get ticked off if she basically raped me.

Generally physical contact (with the exception of hitting, kicking etc) is a sign of respect or emotional closeness.

I consider that if you keep these things for special occasions when you give on to someone then they really appreciate it and will hold onto it for a lot longer than if you go round giving them to everyone

Besides, aren't you sick of talking about the war and economics and Bush... The same points are thrown around and yet the same thing results: people are more pissed off at the government, foreigners get more pissed off at Americans, and everyone gets like 10x more cynical then they were when they started the conversation.

On the other hand, that doesn't happen so much in the US. In result, the US is more uptight, viewed by some as "snobby". Even our children are loosing respect for others.
