When a friend and I got to play a set at a school function in 10th grade. Some coffeehouse thing or something. I actually was almost accepted for about a week after that, before people started beating me up again like usual.

hmm.... I couldn't really honestly say... I find it difficult to remember emotions, so I can't really compare how happy I was at one period of time as opposed to another. Technically, one could say that it was just after I was accepted for uni, but before I started, as it's the last time I remember that I didn't have anything overly stressful on my mind. Of course, during that time was my first major depression, but I managed to pull out of that with about a week in hand. of course, I don't really remember much of it. Not much happened.

This new years when i finally flew to Idaho from Stockholm, Sweden to meet this girl i was crazy about that i've known online for 4 years. I stayed there for one week, too bad our relationship wouldn't have worked. Agnostic and mormon just doesn't work together.

So many, many things.

Holding my newborn daughter in my arms for the first time. then holding her newborn son in my arms many years later.

Discovering that one of my friends in Vietnam who I thought had been killed was in fact alive.

When I first realized that a beautiful woman with whom I was in love, loved me back.

The first time I experienced a unity, a oneness with all other living things.

brilliant list. i'd have thought the 'baby' option would have been more popular. i can certainly see the joy of that moment, and can quite see it being the happiest moment of life. sounds a little sycophantic, but i really can see it...

Last summer, driving to Cornwall in my kit, with my (ex-)girlfriend in the passenger seat, roof down, and some old classic rock on the stereo. Memories that'll stay with me forever.

Random moments like memories of lying on grass with friends, meeting people at train stations... holidays, one in France especially where I went with three other families all with my best friends in, was a great time... people telling me how they felt about me, realising they cared, finding out what it feels like to be loved... the week where I was happier then I had ever been before in my life... Nothing like a baby or proposal or anything but then I am only 14 :p

For some reason whenever i think of this kind of stuff, this one song springs to mind.

Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams

Theres this line where he sings "Those were the best days of my life" and "That summer seemed to last forever" Sort of speaks to me in a weird way.

Early summer 1980 (or was it '81), a friend and I had slept on the great highway after a show at the Cow palace in SF (I think it was Humble Pie, Pat Travers and Ted Nugent). We headed to Haight-Ashbury, parked there and walked the entire length of Golden Gate park to the Ocean and back.

After dropping some "Donald Duck" blotter and some green gel acid.

I don't have kids or a spouse, so i don't have some big moment like that to describe. My happiest moment was when i was in New York in July with my friend Helen from England. We stayed in the same hotel room together and we hung out for the entire week just wandering around exploring the city. We also hung out with a bunch of friends we had met on-line, which is also how the two of us met. I had met most of them once before, she hadn't. I love that city so much, and we had such a great time. My favorite part of the trip was when we would take the subway back to our hotel at the end of the day, when our feet were sore and we were tired, but when we were also happy. It felt like home for that week we were there, we both missed it when we left.

I have too many to list, but I'll go with two good ones.

--> knowing that even when we were barely friends at the time, my now dearest and best friend stood up for me when all the people in our grades were being very hostile towards me

--> being held closely for the first time, by my current boyfriend who I feel so secure with

There are a lot, so at first I couldn't think of anything that might be best. But then I remembered the feeling I got when I first realized I was in love with someone. I thought I was too jaded to feel it, but BAM! it hit me. OMG, I'm in love with him. Even though things didn't last forever, the feeling was well worth it.

Summer of 1988.

Jumping with a ram-air parachute after having disabled the AAD that would deploy the reserve automatically if I didn't deploy my main.

Then playing chicken with the ground with a friend.
