Autumn 1941, Kharkov, Ukrainian SSR- The SS forces over 100 000 civilians to dig a gigantic mass grave and then massacres them with machine guns.

1942, Lidice, Czechoslovakia- The SS executes the entire male population, 172 in total, 16 years and over.

March, 1942, Warsaw, Poland- The SS begins systematic liquidation of the Warsaw Ghetto. Countless thousands are murdered.

June 1944, Oradour-Sur-Glane, France- The SS burns 400 women and children alive and executes 300 men, before learning that they have attacked the wrong village.

August 1944, Tulle, France- The SS retreats from the allied advance, leaving a body hanging from each of Tulle's 96 lamposts on the main road.

Do I have to go on? Ban this evil symbol. The SS were the worst butchers of the Nazis, you ban the swastika but not the symbol of their savage murder machine.

Then, by your logic, we should ban the Hammer & Sickle, Red Star, and the Flag of United States.

Where are you talking from?

Why ban either ? Even without taking into consideration the swastika is much older than the nazi's and that banning it is therefor in a way a nazi victory.. why remove all things that could remind us of the horrors of the second world war ? Will it bring the victims back to life ? No. Will it undo the damage that has been done ? No. Will it help us to remember ? No - in fact it will most likely do the opposite.

It is time we stop trying to forget that black page in history ever happened, and start making sure it doesn't happen again.

i've got a better plan than banning the SS symbol. unban the swastika. i think the poster means "ban on NS" since the swastika is banned on NS.

Is the swastika still banned if it's presented in its original manner?

i.e. backwards from what the nazis had and the lines horizontal and vertical?
