A 44-year-old Alaskan man had his penis surgically reattached after it was cut off by an angry girlfriend and flushed down a toilet, police said today.
The events unfolded on Saturday night, after the pair had been arguing over an impending break up, an Anchorage Police Department statement said.

At some point, the two decided to have sex and the man agreed to let the woman tie his arms to a windowsill.

But the woman used a kitchen knife to amputate her partner's penis and flushed it down the toilet, police said.

She untied the man, drove him to a local hospital and was cleaning the bloody scene when police arrived at the home, according to the statement.

Summoned by the police, workers from the local water utility pulled the toilet up from the floor and were able to recover the severed penis, which was rushed to the hospital for the successful reattachment surgery on Sunday morning.

Police declined to identify the victim, but said his assailant was 35-year-old Kim Tran.

She was charged with assault, domestic violence and tampering with evidence, and jailed without bail.

For me 'tampering with evidence' will forever be suspected to be a euphemism for 'flushing a severed penis down the toilet'. It should certainly make some future news reports somewhat more entertaining.

How does anyone come to a logical conclusion that amputating a man's penis is a good idea? It's obvious that this wasn't just some heat of the moment type anger thing; she actually thought and planned this out. How do you get from A to B on that one?

Probably for the same reason why movies can have humorous scenes inferring male rape, but a humorous scene inferring female rape would get it protested back to the stone age. *shrug*

That hacks me off majorly. I think it evens out in the end, though. Females still get paid less (81p for every £1 a man earns), charged VAT for tampons, refused caesarians, discriminated against on the basis of looks and occasionally beaten the crap out of by boyfriends/husbands. Yep, two things I won't let people do. Tie me down, or take pictures. The pictures would be bad enough, but now days they'd end up all over the internet if somebody got pissed.

Well being tied down is one thing - just a matter of trust. Pictures/Video, same thing (yes, there's pics/video of me, but it's all in my possession).

The only time I've been at all amused by a man's genitals being amputated is when I read this one article where a victim of a sexual assault walked into a police station and put a pair of testicles on the desk. It turns out that the man who assaulted her tried to make her suck his dick and she bit his balls off.

Fortunately, they were unable to reattach them.

I heard about a same kind of thing that had happened somewhere in Ethiopia or Kenya or whatever.
The only difference was that the guy cut off his own dick because his wife had slept with another guy.
