Since many people are saying that Orwell was basically a prophet for how he "predicted" a number of totalitarian-esque happenings in the world, why not worship him as such?
Our holy scripture includes 1984 and Animal Farm, and the holy language is Oldspeak. Join now, and gain salvation from teh evil Big Brother!

Wouldn't having Newspeak as the Holy Language be missing the point somewhat?

This Church is pretty interesting. The Great Prophet must surely be kicking himself in the hereafter for looking at the wrong side of the Atlantic when he wrote his visionary novels.

............or maybe this thread was a joke.
Anyways George Orwell was definitely not a devout CHristian, because he thought religion was falsehoods designed to trick and manipulate the masses. For example Orwell said "one must choose between God and man" and "one can't be a Catholic and grown up." He often compared Christianity to communism.

Orwell himself was a democratic socialist and a liberal, he chose secularism and involvement in the here and now instead of religious dogma and delusional hopes for salvation.
And can I ask, who the hell is Chairman Kaga?
The host of the Japanese cooking show, Iron Chef.

I think having any system of organization, especially one which takes anything as gospel (including his works) is kinda missing the point somewhat...

*decides that Free Soviet is correct, these works are vital to Church Scripture*
Yes, PBUH Orwell!
All hail Chairman Kaga: He who dresses like Liberace and organises brutal cook-offs shall be worshipped.
