BUT,

since moving to Oregon...

Well.....

I have a new appreciatation for Washington....

Anyone EVER hear this story..

There was an elder couple charged in the murder of a female..

They were convicted ....

But The person who actually killed the female was pissed, because someone got credit for his kill..

so he "Truck Driver", while on the road wrote that he killed this female - Left it on a bathroom stall in Montana "with only details the actual killer would have known, besides a cop that is"..

Then he called the Oregon's Prosecution team, HE was told to leave a message - "so he did" They never called him back..

Which pissed him off more..

so then he wrote to the paper - Ther Oregonian - who ran a 4 day column on the killer - With stuff the killer sent to them..

Still Oregon didn't care... lol....

So dude went on a mini killing spree..

5 victims..

He then killed his fifth victim and left her on the washington side..

Washington tracked him down and convicted him of murder..

still not satisified for previous credit of killing ... He went to his own attorney...

So his own attorney had to sue the State of Oregon to prove his client killed that female and the others..lol....

NOW..

How bad is that?

Ridiculous ?

You think that is bad..

Some guy tried to commit suicide and he emailed his then girlfriend first...

He was charged with attempted manslaughter and some other weird charge, that basically meant I let this other person know I'm going to kill myself.. Which I guess in Oregon is illegal - and now the guy faces 7 years in prison...

** Whom - seems like maybe counseling should be in there somewhere?

That is okay some guy held a gun to his head in front of his wife and kids and was sentenced to seven years - and still no counseling..

Gee vern, might be a problem there hay?

Is incompetence firm enough ground to sue a state on?

I don't know if it is possible to sue a State like that...

Doubt it - because anyone that would be making the decision is more then likely employed by the State..

When I use to help write initiatives for Washington - Often I found myself in court with King County taking me to court and a Judge from that County making the decision and ALL times the County Judge voted in Favor of the County.. Until it was appealed outside the County to a different County Court or State Supreme Court..

then we won 100%...

Legally the Federal government holds (and the Supreme Court has upheld) that no country (this includes individual American states) can be sued unless it gives the plaintiff permission. They made an exception for a list of "state sponsers of terror" but even at that Bush won't let the exception stand.

I gotta admit that story was over the top. So what do you think of King County throwing the governers race. I think King County should be thrown out of the state of Washington. They are a complete disgrace to the whole election process.

If you could sue a state for incompetence, Oklahoma would be bankrupt.
