So what the hell have YOU done to help change the world or promote the human race?

I thought a kid to read.

Apparently not to use the correct word... ;)

What have I done that's important? I, uh... I helped take care of some kids once.

Tried to introduce healthier eating by showing people how to properly cook. Yes without a sodding microwave or a phone

I take money from old people, kick homeless people, exploit my parents and generally cause misery and anger wherever I go. I... uh... also keep secrets really good too. Um... can you forget I said that?

I have done nothing significant to the world thus far. There's plenty of time, though not so much motivation.

I paid a friend that was a vegetarian to eat a hink of meat, although there is more to it than just that. It was funny watching some of the faces she made while eating it.

As far as motivation...wait...Nation of Fortune you shot a a nutria and missed....? You ought to be hanging your head in shame ...egads another one didn't bite the dust...

that just sends shudders down my spine - for those of you lucky enough not to live around nutria...give thanks to what ever gods you follow...

back to motivations....just remember what you do comes back to you many times over ...

Yes I am
It makes me sad, although I was taking the shot at 100+ yards, with an old .22, that really needs to be sighted in. Plus I usually shoot left handed, but I shot right handed this time, mainly because I usually shoot a bolt action instead of a semi-auto. Yes my family doesn't have left handed rifle. I feared for my eye and decided to shoot right handed instead.

I was part of the force that helped Northern Iraq rebuild after years of tyranny from Saddam. I am in the US Army Reserve and am extremely proud of it. And if called I will go back to Iraq to help continue the rebuilding process.

I've been on the front page of a newspaper, and I've been on television several times. Not for any reason that's all that special, but I've been there. I've also penned an article for a newspaper.
I also gave a speech once.
I terrorize locals often.
I helped to reassure and console someone who had suffered a loss.

Did a little reading tutoring when I was in middle school...

Taught my little sister how to walk...

Stood up to my father, when I was a tot, and, in a single confrontation, made him stop hitting my mother. In the nearly twenty years that followed, he's yet to start up again.

In general helped keep my parents from killing each other by being the family shrink.

Used that shrinking ability to help a girl, in the summer between fifth and sixth grade, cope with her older brother's suicide.

Replaced a kid who was getting beaten up, when I was in first grade. Bugger just left me there, but, eh.

Stood up to thirteen older kids in middle school who were making threats towards my fellow nerds. My mom drove them off, luckily, but, hopefully, it taught them that they're not as intimidating as they think.

Helped various close and not so close friends through various crises, including helping the women I've dated with their new boyfriends, despite how much its hurt.

Stood up to a damnation-spewing preacher on the college campus, and helped people to get the courage to speak up for themselves rather than hide, which, with a few similar people, including a guy with bongos, doing the same, has led to large crowds, gathered as one to tell a truly dispicable human being to shove his hatred up his ass where he got it from.

--

I've avoided pretending to be anything other than pompous, as I'd just keep the fact that I have done something to myself, rather than making a hint and claiming myself to be non-pompous while damning everyone else.

Nothing overly special.

Donated blood a few times, collected money for save the children in their annual appeal 3 times, collected money for the save the children tsunami fund (which involved standing outside wellingtons stadium during the 7s, the drunkest event of the year.) errr I help my neighbour (a lady who's getting on a bit) carry potting mix from her car to up to her back garden. I think I've stoped at least one person from killing themselves, but I can't be sure they would have gone through with it.

I've introduced British culture to a German school, and have also shown them that not all Brits are prejudiced against other cultures, either.

Although, Prince Harry wearing that Nazi uniform sort of dealt a blow against my plight, thanks a lot Harry...
