Just came back from "Constantine", and in my opinion, this is the first great movie of the year.

The movie follows the path of a professional exorcist named John Constantine, who has been hunted by hell and shunned by heaven.

The universe as we know it exists on three planes of existance, two immortal and one mortal; Heaven and Hell, and our little disputed mortal realm known as Earth.

Earth has been something of a real-estate issue since the begining of time and wars have been fought over it, until an uneasy peace between Heaven and Hell was forged.

There are four kinds of people who exist on Earth; normal everyday joes, the Demontouched, the Angletouched. The latter two are in constant competition with eachother, atempting to claim Earth for good or evil, and using normal humans as pawns. That is where a fourth class comes in; psychics, mystics, witch doctors, exorcists, the like, who do what they can to keep a balance in their world.

A mysterious suicide leads the victim's sister to John Constantine, and they slowly begin to unravel a plot that can destroy what little balance is left on mortal earth.

----------

I'm not going to lie to you, you REALLY need to pay attention during this movie, otherwise you might get lost.

The visuals and cinematography in this movie is excelent, and I constantly found myself with my eyes glued to the screen.

If you like exiting visuals, a good story with suitable controversy, and a no-nonsence protagonist, I highy recommend this film.
