I grew up with smarties too.. except in Illinois we had em either in a box or a roll of cellophane..

I stand by my spelling mistake; why else do you think Ringo,John,and George replaced Paul with a robot? It's becuase they sold Paul to Nestle who to this day is having body parts removed and then crushed in order to make smarties blue.

That's funny, the only Smarties I've bought come in dodgy rectangular cardboard boxes.

Ce De Candy owns the trademark to the name Smarties in the United States. Outside the United States, Smarties is a registered trademark of Societe' des Produits Nestle' S.A. and are more like M&M's.

Note: If you're in Canada or the UK, the product to look for that would be like American Smarties is called "Rockets".

American smarties look like those sweets that you get in kid's party bags over here, i can't think what they're called, they're like the small palma violets but they taste nice and are different colours

The removable plastic lid on the current design will also go in favour of a cardboard flip-top.

no, they're like Refreshers but a lot smaller and they're wrapped in a clear wrapping like those american Smarties, you must remember them from being a kid! you sometimes get them in those big bags of sweets that you buy to give trick or treaters for Halloween with lollies and those chewy refresher things that have sugar in the middle and Blackjacks (wow! havn't seen those in years)

I think they're talking about a different type of Smartie from what we have in America. This is talking about a chocolate candy that comes in a cardboard container, not a sugary-tart little tablet that comes in a cellophane wrapper.

Yeah, those. I kept all the candy containers from my trip there because they were neat (like the m&ms had a little flap that you pull back and there was a hole in the side that the m&ms would come out... here we've got a bag for those). I have a tube at home.

My point is that we've only ever gotten boxes with smarties over here. WHy is all the neat stuff in europe. Damn ancestors leaving there.

you're not missing out on Palma Violets, they really are horrible, but the other ones that are like the American smarties are really nice! so you're deprived not having them
