The white stuff is fat. That's what makes the hamburger taste so good.

That's good to know because everyone around here laughs about how it is never on the pizza when it is finally delivered. It's not my favorite.

1 Yes
2 I think it releases free radicals, molecules that react with DNA to break strands of it. The damaged genetic material causes cells to become cancerous.
3 It's fat and bits of connective tissue.
4 Because Papa John's sucks. Order from a real restaurant.

1) Does powdered cheese sound like a naturally occuring substance to you? I'd just forget about Mac and Cheese from now on.
2) Everything causes cancer, especially vegetables, ESPECIALLY hydrogenated ones.
3) Ligaments son.
4) 'cause they put the cheese on in the wrong order, they need to ancor it down with toppings. That and the delivery drivers get paid so poorly they must drive like maniacs to deliver enough pizzas just to cover costs.

How could vegetables especially cause cancer? Most things that are naturally occuring aren't the cause of most cancer.

What is hydrogenated food anyway?

Tobacco is technicaly a vegetable.

The original poster was talking about hydrogenated fats. Oils that have extra hydrogen atoms stuck onto their carbons to make them solid at room temp. Like Margarine.

Okay, tobacco is a given, but I was talking about vegetables for nutrition. Plus, the additives that have been put into tobacco may be more of a cause of cancer. I haven't heard much about marijuana or other vegetation that can be smoked causing cancer, not nearly as likely to anyway.

Ah, okay Margarine and similar stuff.

I was just kidding. It is just everytime time the news is on it's like;

'New research has discovered food X causes cancer!'

Then two weeks later;

'New research has discovered that two glasses of the same food X may prevent cancer!'

Now that's definitely true. They almost always change their stance on food and what causes cancer, etc. I don't think anybody really pays much attention to them anymore. If you did, you would never be able to do or eat anything.

Word of advice, make your own food. You can customize it however you like. It may take a few failed experiments before you get something that you like. But in the end the food will be much better. Don’t go for that prepackaged crap and be a man/woman/hermaphrodite/whatever you are. Eat good food, and not chemicals.

Very sound advice from the appropriately named one.

I do have real food. That doesn't mean I don't. I was just wondering.

So far as I can tell, nothing that causes cancer isnt naturally occuring.
