this thread is awesome - this is one of my favorite bands.
but as for my favorite song, im gonna have to choose the live verison of white light/white heat. but any vu song is great by me.

Terrific thread, anybody own NYC Man? Fucking fantastic.
Sweet Jane is their best. Possibly my favorite song. Pale Blue Eyes is a close second.

They aren't exactly the most popular band nowdays. If you want a bunch of posts about a band, go with Tool, Nirvana, or some shitty black metal band.

how i found the velvets is one of the nicest stories of my life. A weird girl at my school who was about 3 years above me and got my bus just came up to me on the bus one day and said "hi, you look like you'll like this" and gave me a tape.
i have loved them ever since.
