I know that its probably a long shot but does anyone here got to the Univ. Alabama in Huntsville? If not, do you know anyone who does? Thanks.

PS: To prevent flaming about us going to a hick school, let me inform y'all that UAH has one of the only two accredited optical engineering programs in the 'States the las t I heard. The other's at MIT.

Since your location says in psace, I'll add that we have a kick ass MAE program, since we are only a hop, skip, and a jump away from Redstone Arsenal and the Space and Rocket Center. I've actually been to Redstone and seen parts for the International Space Station while they were building them. THey're probably up in Space by now.

I know you're only joking, but I believe last year our science dept. alone recieved 35 million dollars in research funds from the federal government. We are a very researched based instituiton.

Sorry, I'll list some downsides. Our Math Dpt. isn't that good at all, which is kinda funny for a school which stresses Engineering over everything else (I believe 2/3 of students are engineers of some sort, I'm CompE.) The English dept. is so-so, but Morton Hall is in dire need of renovations. Were also mainly a suitcase campus now; I believe only 15% of the students live in the dorms. There completing another Dorm so hopefully, that'll change. And finally, parking is horrible. The campus is spread out and open, which is nice, but it results in everyone driving everyone, ergo, it can be a bitch to get a spot between 10 AM and 2 PM.

Ah, just as I suspected, no one here goes to UAH. Or to college in Alabama that matter probably.
