First it would need to break away from earth, like the American Revolution. I find that fairly possible, as there is that treaty saying that no nation may control any part of the solar system.

Earth would easily kick marses arse every time. We're bigger, have more gravity, so our people would be stronger, and are always going to be able to support a larger population. Besides, we'd just give them the cold. That always seems to work against martians.

I've been on that mission for quite some time and failed more often than I've succeeded, I don't think thier chances are much better than mine.... or are they?
