The only people going to Hell are fundamentalists

What I don't understand about religions like Christanity and Islam. They always say that if you sin (or dont follow the 'true' path) then you are going to go to hell.
But then they also say that God is forgiveness and redemption personnified.
I am not sure how blind these fundamentalists actually are - most of them just use the Bible as a way to attack things they dont like (like social welfare, the Welsh etc etc). In reality by condemning others to hell and not practising the art of forgiveness and redemption, they are going against God and so if anyone is going to hell, its them.
Thats not really surprising since the Bible is one long hypocrisy and so therefore anyone who believes in its every word is bound to hypocritical.
I really can't stand fundamentalists because they give most religious people a bad name. Most are tolerant, moderate people who don't take everything literally in their chosen religion.

Yes.
Oh. You expected like someone to argue against you?. Well, er. You're going to hell?.

I'm a fundamentalist. I condemn no one to hell. I try not to even imagine who is going to hell. I have power over one person's destiny, me. I refuse to use my beliefs as a political tool. I have views on issues and vote them. I have never said any President was in league with the devil (even Bush and Clinton)
People need to understand that fanaticism is not sponsored or even recognised by mainstream religion.
So take heart in the fact that most religious people in the world are not like Fred Phelps and Jerry Falwell. Also take heart that most religious people are just as frustrated with fundamentalism as you are.
and they say that Jesus was the only perfect human, what a load of bull.
"Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil."
Jesus was the only truely rightous man, not the only man free of sin, anyone that knows the bible knows that, unless they think G-d lies, then of course I could understand their blindness a bit more.
Its doctrine I tell you, its all doctrine.
"These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men."
"They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men"
"You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
“ ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.’ "

Job was not perfect, never said he was. Said there was no other on earth like him. God reprimanded Job after he tried to justify himself rather than God, after Job basically said, what did i ever do to you. Had Job done nothing wrong, why would God have reprimanded him? Read all of Job, not jsut the beginning.

I fyou ask for that forgiveness. If you don;t ask for forgiveness you are not forgiven. (askign for forgiveness from God and from a priest are two completely seperate things mind you, and true repentance is turning from that sin and making a consious effort not to sin again in that fashion. or the fasion in which you have repented for)

It's all overrated. We should just burn all the fundies at stake, give them a taste of their own medicine. Then the rest of us can have a big, all-sexuality orgy while roasting marshmellows over the embers.

He was blameless, spoken by G-d there. What is Blameless, means to have nothing against them. The only reason that he was 'punished' was he got tested. Read it, the only ones that got punished were, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite. And it was Job's pray that G-d listened to, because he was the only one that spoke right of G-d. And in the end he got rewarded with more treasure then he had ever had.
I would bet that it was only after the Catholics came about that Job was considered not blameless, and that the stigma of living a perfect life was impossible, since it was the Catholics that put price tags on salvation.
