Which Three Stooges?
The Kids in the Hall make a close second to Monty Python...then the "This Hour has 22 Minutes" group and the "Royal Canadian Air Farce" after them.

Burt and Ernie.
Noone comes close to the whole Python team.
The funniest comedy team has got to be Jay and Silent Bob.

Monty Python rule all.
I would say David Walliams and Matt Lucas aswell. Not just for Little Britain but the older stuff that used to be on UK Play.

How could I forget Jay and Silent Bob!.
I was too busy thinking of tv. Such foolishness.

I've already cast my vote, but how can this poll be legitimate without Laurel and Hardy? Without the Smothers Brothers? Without Abbott and Costello? Without Bob and Ray?

They can be write-in votes. BTW, who's Bob and Ray?

Eh. I'm too young to appreciate those recognized as greats. I just don't find their stuff that funny. Young'uns. What ya gonna do.

Their parody stuff was the direct precursor to Saturday Night Live. "Bob and Ray's House of Toast." Awesome.
What about the Two Ronnies, Morecambe and Wise, the Goons?

That's fair but how can you find those berks off Little Britain funny. (P.S. I'm a student so am not old really)

Burt and Ernie.
Certainly not the best ever, (I had to go with the marx brothers for that because they're just... unbelievably brillient) but quite amusing is Bernie und Ert (http://lustich.de/lustich/videodb-videos-77-1.html) . Tragicaly for most here, it's German. But I'll put it out there anyway just in case someone here can speak, or at least understand, German.
Offcenter!
...
Okay, so that's the troupe I'm in...
But when we're big, we'll see whose laughing!
Preferably everyone...

Comedy team? I'm not sure if this qualifies as a "comedy team" as asked, but it's still my favorite:
Groundlings (www.groundlings.com), the improv comedy troupe in LA. They're talent regularly go on to be in SNL, MadTV, Simpsons, etc. I like 'em.

I understood pretty much none of that. But I read the forum. The4y seemed amused by the word dildo, which I didn't hear at all.

Monty Python followed closely by the Marx Brothers and the Upright Citizens Brigade.
My favorite is Abbott and Costello.
