So you think it's okay to drink if you're under 18...
Well same as here but it is illegal ;)

I am from England and therefore drink as much as humanly possible. Never forget, the liver IS evil and must be punished.

I don't drink often. I like the effects of alcohol, but I hate the taste. I also don't have enough money to waste on it at the moment.

I love alcohol, but my proposal was rejected because apparently people haven't learned how to read yet. Which is okay. They'll learn someday, and I hope this site serves as a catalyst.

Anyway, as far as liqour, whiskey is my drug of choice. As far as beer, Sam Adams or stouts are my drug of choice.

If you consider that vapid tasteless goop that the english call 'beer' worth drinking. New Zealand is where its at! We have huge drunk driving stats. That must mean we're cool. But seriously, everyone in my country likes to drink, take drugs and beat people up. We're like the Bronx with scenery.

I'm English, so that would be a bottle of red on the days when I'm not drinking, and a bottle of whisky on the days when I am :)

English beer rubbish? You, my friend, have not lived. Old Brewery is the nicest beer. You know what they say about American beer:
"It's like making love in a boat"
"Yeah, its f*cking close to water"

I don't drink often. Stems from my dislike of the taste of alcohol, and the fact that I hate the taste of beer. A lot of people shake their heads when I tell them this because I'm part German. Strangely, I enjoy diluted Ouzo or Vodka mixed with Ginger Ale most.

I don't drink that often. (I got my binge drinking out of my system early :p )
When I do drink, it may be beer (Corona, San Miguel or Crown), white wine, vodka or liquery things like Kahlua.

Used to have a sherry or two while cooking.
Then a half to 3/4 bottle of red at dinner.
A couple of shots of malt during the evening.
A few beers before going to sleep.

On the upside: I hardly ever drank during the day.

Nevertheless my doctor had me cut back to 2 glasses of wine a day. Promptly lost twenty-odd pounds and hope to gain a couple of years.

I drink everything once I've had a couple of beers. I mostly try to keep to beer, because a couple of times now things have gone terribly wrong when I got on the whiskey or rum or vodka or wine even or sambuca or..... you get the picture

I enjoy a beer now and then on the weekdays.
But Friday... Oh that sweet Friday...
*Looks for a bottle, but remembers having a flue* :(

I do not drink much but if I drink it is only on weekends and when something good is going on.
I start drinking beer and if the night goes good I will change over to whatever I can get at the bar. ;)

I like what my friends call 'fruity girly drinks' Mostly things like daquiries and margaritias and kahlua-bailey's-rum mixes. Bailey's is where it's at though, so creamy! I put that in my coffee at night, and sometimes I'll have a single shot straight when they guys around me are downing whiskey like mad. I once had a chocolate creamy liquer thing from Germany that didn't last long in my glass...

I don't get drunk though, and I cannot stand the taste of beer. My husband keeps getting me to try different kinds, 'oh this is the best!' 'no, this is!' and i take a sip and make a really nasty face and go back to my crunched ice and fake strawberry flavoring ;)

Why force yourself to drink somewthing like vodka straight up when you can make it taste good, you know.
Just drink what you want.

I think the culture in American is different from over here in Britain, partially because of the higher age rating which really is quite ludicrous, you can fight die, and vote but you cant drink, never got that.
Any who my self I’m on the tail end of being 17, I 'shouldn’t be drinking' yet on most Saturdays you will find me and my friends in our local, this could be partly down to public school mentality (that’s private school to you Americans) everyone from 5th form (about 16-15) drinks on a regular basis, although most would do it because of the social image i imagine. Frankly I cant see what’s wrong with a bunch of well mannered well natured bunch of friends going down to the pub on an afternoon for a leisurely drink we don’t start fights we don’t smash windows.
We just sit there talk smoke and drink, in fact some of the discussions often range from topics not unlike here. The only 'harm' in it is that most of us are a month or two off the age of consent.

Must be a cultural thing, I hear of American keggers or something where the sole idea it being illegal to drink until you basically have a family to get drunk and beat, and so everyone congregates around a large supply of bear. Don’t see the attraction myself. I cant see anyone of the educated middle class in this country going to those things.

Any who food for thought that.

Seriously, anyone who drinks sprits to get drunk solely is a prick,
Ale is best British, Wine Best French, and only the Germans can make lager anything else is shit.

I too, loathe beer. I prefer cider, coctails, and drinks. Ouzo is great, especially when mixed with something sweet (I often use Coca Cola). Otherwise I like the same kind of fruity drinks that Ellanesse mentioned. The only spirit I drink as is is Jägermeister. A single small glass after dinner is just exquisite.
