I love it. I'm in the band, so I got to go on a ton of trips and see all the football games for free, plus it's essentially a massive frat in terms of parties, heh. The only thing I dislike about USC is the hefty price tag. Thank God for scholarships.

assuming you're a HS senior? i'm a junior. i visited purdue in the fall. seems like a great school. i'm looking at there or probably U of Illinois.
Hopefully (*crosses fingers and toes and then realises that actually paying attention in class might help more*)
I want to get into Arts at The University of Melbourne (Australianite here)... I'll need to bump my enter up by 13 points though... ugh.

Yes, I am a HS senior in Michigan. Purdue is great, but I kind of want to get out of the cold.

Forgive my Ignorance, but what is an Enter? It sounds like some kind of entrence test for university.

Not personally, no. I mostly know science majors and other bandies, and I haven't heard any of them talking about the film school. It's definitely one of the best film schools around, though, you're right.

5th year at UNLV. Before everyone knocks me for being a 5th year, I'd just like to point out that I'm a dual major, so it takes me longer. On the flip side, I'll have two baccalaureates (sp?) when I get into law school.

Forgive my Ignorance, but what is an Enter? It sounds like some kind of entrence test for university.
It's a score given based on a students perfomance on SACs (School Assessed Coursework, basically essays and tests done in class time) and the exams/midterms.
Some subjects get marked up or down on a scale depending on whether the subject is easier or harder than others (for example, Latin gets scaled up, while Further Maths - also known a Business Maths, easiest of the maths subjects - gets scaled down). So even if you get a 50 in a subject, it might get scaled down to a 45 because the subject is easier than others. Or you might get a 40 and have it scaled up to a 48 because the subject was harder than most others. It's all very silly and confusing.
It basically ranks students in terms of grades, out of 99.99. I need 93 to get into Arts at Melbourne, and last year I got 80.
The ENTER you need to get into a certain course depends on how many places are being offered and how popular the course is - the more people who want to get into it, the higher the ENTER needed.
Hope that clears that up (hope I got it right too... enters confuse even us students most of the time. They're evil, you see).

Nothing wrong with taking 5 years. Most people at my college, Kansas State University, take 4.5 or 5. I'm a Civil Engineering major, and most of my peers will take 5 years, simply because it's not very smart to take classes like Thermodynamics and Fluids at the same time.

Oh, do you know the real rule for how to keep a coaching job at OSU?
Here it is:
You can lose every single game, but always win the Michigan game, and you'll keep your job. That's how fanatical people are here. So fanatical, that we had four helicopters circling the campus area and hundreds of riot police for after the game.

Colorado is for sure a huge party school, but if anybody wants to study particle physics that is the way to go, we've got nobel laureates that worked with Bose-Einstein condensate. Otherwise it's just a city covered in a constant cloud of marijuana smoke.

It's not actually a Reserve University. Sometime in the past, the University of Case essentially merged with the University of Western Reserve. And voila! a geek school was born.

I'm a senior at Clemson University in good 'ole South Carolina. If all goes according to plan, next year I will be at the University of Georgia or Auburn University for vet school. *Crosses fingers*.
I am in 9th grade and I am going to go to community college this summer. All you need is your parents ok and someone from your school to ok and you can take most courses there.

Either I'm having a severe case of deja vu or I've seen this thread before... at any rate i'm a first year student at the University of Western Ontario. If anybody cares to know, I'm doing an Honours Specialization in Media Informations and Technoculture.
In case you're wondering, technoculture isn't really a word, but that doesn't stop the MIT faculty from using it. Go figure.
