I'm a member of a forum where you are allowed avatars and such, and to be honest, I haven't found that an avatar improves my overall quality of life all that much...

So, what you're really asking is, "who has all the time, money, server space and inclination to babysit the NS user population when there is already a perfectly good forum available but that doesn't let you have a little picture next to your name?"

It's a tiny little picture that you can put by your name, usually around 100x100 pixels in size.

Oh, I feel so unhapy and oppressed that I don't have to worry abot a crappy little pic next to my name.

Werd. Signatures are annoying enough without avatars cluttering the place up even more.

sigs annoy the hell out of me, so i turn em off. avatars are cool.
thing is, this forum is the best of any debating forums im on simply cos it has so many members :)

Are you willing to pay for the bandwidth and the extra server capacity that adding a picture to every single post would require? specialy on something with the sheer number of members as nationstates?

I have a suggestion. Why don't you reduce the number of forum topics to just two: Pres. Bush sucks, and the U.S sucks. This seems to be what 99% of the posts end up with anyway.

I have doubts you know how much bandwidth something the size of nationstates is (and that little board you have if you drew a 10th of the crowd this place does would give you the boot in a minuit lol)

Im not expecting thousands of people to join. If they do then I can buy the up grade that has huge bandwith and other things, but for now, I'm saying if you wanna join, go ahead, that way you have the freedom to do what you want, I am the only mod on it so far, and its gonna be pretty liberal, rules wise. Try it if you want, I mean its basically the same deal as here, but you have avatars and other things like that. Plus you can make your text glow, which is cool.

i think ill be staying here, it has some good characters, youre pretty much guaranteed a debate/conversation, and if you post something 90% of the time you get a pretty quick response from someone

its a good place, i dont see why you would want to go anywhere else to talk about the same stuff
