I've been reading a few threads recently preaching about communism, fascism, democracy et al.....I tell you what, here's a radical Idea. Why don't you get rid of all these systems!!!
Create a new one!!!
Some key fundamental policies.
1. 100% Tax for corporations, no company can make money out of people.
2. The right to live life with out the fear of persecution &/or attack.
3. Freedom to follow what ever religion you want as long as it doesn't contravene policy 2.
4. No more walls or fences, no immigration laws.
5. The right to Shelter, Food, Education & travel as long as it doesn't contravene policy 2.
6. Do away with the right to vote for 100 years (until the brain washing from the media can be....er.....washed!!) Because of the media you can't be trusted to vote for what is humanly right
7. Everything in life is legal, (drugs in particular) providing it doesn't contravene policy 2.
8. It will be illegal NOT to follow kyoto and in fact this should be taken a step further BAN fossil fuels.
9. Ban advertising for anything that can cause harm (Drugs, Fast Food, Britney Spears).
Just a few from my manifesto for the future, who's with me???
Just a thought!!

I've moved this to the General forum from the NationStates forum, as it appears to be a discussion of real life politics as opposed to roleplay ones.

Wouldn't a 100% tax for corporations not only destroy them, but cripple your economy and slaughter corporation-like groups that work to provide jobs for your nation? Just a thought.
A smarter idea would be to create a public fund to sponsor the creation and maintenence of Collectives, which are essentially corporations founded on the principles of communism. This may sound funny, but it works in the real world. The Knudson Collective, responsible for the majority of America's milk, is one such organization.
In a collective, everyone sets their own wadges and can promote themselves as they see fit. If someone gives themself too much of an edge, a group of his or her peers can vote to fire them or reverse any changes they made to their status, so as to better run the collective. This has been proven to work in real life, so why not try it in your nation?
This has been a 100% post by the guy who plays Resi, who is also a staunch communist.
Policies 7 and 9 contradict themselves.

Sounds nutty. :) But, since we're on the topic of political fantasies, why not return to an old-style monarchy or empire? They always make for the most interesting literary subject matter; can you imagine a Lord of the Rings where Aragorn must be elected president of Gondor? Lame  And there would certainly be something refreshing about being led by a figure who's been trained since birth and who isn't bound by one ideology, as career politicians are.
Ah, but democracy is fine too. :)

His opposing candidate would probably pay money to a group he was loosely affiliated with to smear Aragorn. :p

"King Aragorn's so-called Fealty Act will allow the Minas Tirith Secret Service to search the homes of any green person based solely on the color of their skin and the pointiness of their armor. This violation of civil liberties goes against everything that Gondor stands for. Vote Wormtongue 3024!"

1. 100% Tax for corporations, no company can make money out of people.
This will force them to be owned by the government. And now you are speaking of socialism.
2. The right to live life with out the fear of persecution &/or attack.
This is covered for in most government structures.
3. Freedom to follow what ever religion you want as long as it doesn't contravene policy 2.
Covered, isn't really a government attribute, so much as it is a social one.
4. No more walls or fences, no immigration laws.
OK
5. The right to Shelter, Food, Education & travel as long as it doesn't contravene policy 2.
See response to 2 & 3
6. Do away with the right to vote for 100 years (until the brain washing from the media can be....er.....washed!!) Because of the media you can't be trusted to vote for what is humanly right
This is just a bad idea. You want to let government and the media eliminate corruption without the will of the people? Won't happen.
7. Everything in life is legal, (drugs in particular) providing it doesn't contravene policy 2.
More of a social aspect, most government forms could allow for this.
8. It will be illegal NOT to follow kyoto and in fact this should be taken a step further BAN fossil fuels.
Social problem. Not governmental.
9. Ban advertising for anything that can cause harm (Drugs, Fast Food, Britney Spears).
Freedom of speech?
What you want to do is start an authoritarian political party, not a new governmental system.

More like authoritarian ("fake") communism. Socalism strives to find a balance between capitalism and true communism.
9. Ban advertising for anything that can cause harm (Drugs, Fast Food, Britney Spears).
Freedom of speech?
Commercial speech technically isn't as covered as speech as well as other forms are.

It's flawed and self-contradictory.
