I understand now... after reading all those pro-USA threads... how did Georgie get re-elected.
It's quite simple. People in the US are absolutely convinced that what their country is doing is correct. They are not very well informed.
I am bored of having that kind of discussion every 3 seconds, so no more talking about the US for me after this thread.
But I just want to make one point clear:
Here in my country (Uruguay) we don't like americans (in general, but we know there are some decent people over there). So if you ever find out that we have something you want stay the f*** outta my country. WE will solve OUR goddamn problems.

48% of the country doesn't think that way. Don't assume just because some people in a country express a certain belief that everyone in that country thinks the same way.

How have you come to this conclusion?
Are you an Iraqi? Are you in Iraq?
(neither am I)
I look to the vote to show that most Iraqis are pretty happy about Saddam being ousted and/or their right to vote freely (finally).
As for how President Bush got re-elected, I think that two things stood out:
1)Character -- he shows resolve and is not nearly as two-faced as many politicians
2)Family values -- Many Americans are sick of political correctness, its double-standards, and the liberal left's values
As for your mandate to stay out of Uruguay... why the hell would we want to go to Uruguay?
As for your hate of America... does the United States give aid to Uruguay? (not a rhetorical question, as I do not know)

yes it is.
all the US have done for my country was to install a military dictatorship (to leave us with a huge debt). I think the only latin american country that didn't suffer that TACTIC was Puerto Rico... in a period of what? 50 years? all latin american countries tasted the lovely dictatorships the US created.
you should watch a documentary called THE CORPORATION... it shows how the US grew so big
