This has to be the single funniest website I've ever seen.

http://www.framleyexaminer.com/pages/index.html

It's so bizaare...
the announcements subsection, I particularly recommend.

and to pick out some personal favourites of mine...

Lost and found:
Found: ice cream. Melting, so hurry.

I just thought some people'd like to see it.

(And don't bother with any "ancient. Seen it." 'tis not the point. I find it funny, and am quite insistent that you lot do as well.)

What the hell?

It's certainly weird enough...

Yup. That's the best kind of humour. surreal humour.

Especially the adverts:

coughing kettle!
*it's un-natural!*

Warning! may contain the devil!

And also:

"Nativity set including Mary, Joseph, Jesus and His arch-nemesis Evil Doctor Octopus."

'Tis so funny! And kind of weird...

Some more genius!

A pound coin has been found abandoned in a phone box in Whoft.
The coin was discovered in the early hours of friday morning by revellers who had been attending a wassail at a nearby gallimaufry.
"My mobile had broken, so I went for the phone box" said tiny Mark Jebbs, thirty five, "and I was trying to find the six, and I noticed this little bundle on the floor. It's a good job I wasn't jumping up and down or I'd have trod."
The pound, which is thought to be only three or four years old, was cold but intact. Nurses at Framley general hospital have named the coin penny.
Chief constable Rupert Bone last night appeared for the owner of the coin to come forward.
"We realise that this is a sensitive situation", he talked, "But we must stress that we are not looking to prosecute at this stage. We just want the owner of the pound to contact us. They can remain anonymous, but we need to show them what a doctor looks like."
Anyone with information about money can contact the police on 999.

What most of the non Brits here will not understand, is that at first sight this looks like a real local newspaper site. It is utterly brilliant. :D

To me, it looked real at first glance, and I was wondering what was up with all these people until I actually took a closer look.
