I've noticed an amazing trend around here that whenever someone makes a poll, there are always a dozen people almost immediately behind the OP screaming about how unfair and biased the poll is.

Why?

This isn't Gallup or Zogby, people. It's the forum attached to a game! It would be impossible to collect any real hard data when you can only ask one question and only have 10 options. We all know this. It doesn't need to be said over and over again in every thread with a poll.

If you really want that badly to answer comprehensive polls, I suggest signing up for NPDOR or some other such thing.

Or, continue to complain. Whatever. I'm done now.

This is extremely biased against those who like accuse others of bias.

Polls on NS are incredibly cliche.

Especially when people make threads with 'poll to follow with the most popular options on it'. Isn't that the point of a poll? To work out the most popular options? You lose.

I usually ignore such polls, but have been known to bitch about biased polls. Usually as a frustrateted gesture against rampant stupidity.
