In Germany, not only is prostitution legal but the government can force women to do it by taking away their unemployment benefits.
A 25 year old woman was told by the government that if she refused to work as a prostitute the government would take away all her benefits.
Now we know those europeans are morally bankrupt and evil.

I support legalizing prostitution but I oppose forced prostitution and that is what this is.

I understand. And I agree with you. What I'm saying is that there was already an enormous thread about this two weeks ago.

I suspect a German politician will take up the cause and draft a bill to specify that people can't be forced to work in potentially morally objectionable industries. It will pass and the problem will be solved.

It looks like more of an loophole in the laws than any deliberate attempt to force people into prostitution.

Of course, then the question will be how to define "potentially morally objectionable"...
