Do you paint? Do you sculpt? Sketch? Animate? I wanna hear about it!
If you have a passion for art, feel free to post some of your own work, or somebody else's if you feel it's really good.

I just finished a v-day painting for my boyfriend, seen here. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/sberman86/AngelforAlex.jpg)

(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/sberman86/AngelforAlex.jpg)I like to dabble in art... in high school I liked sculpting (both soapstone and clay, but I never got the hang of the pottery wheel!), and in college I pursued drawing and photography classes (and a printmaking course as well).

I haven't really done anything seriously in awhile - I miss it! A couple years ago I did a self-portrait (using oil bars) for my boyfriend, but something tells me it's not appropriate for this forum! (It's not lewd, but also not G-rated.)

I have images of some of my drawings and photography, maybe I'll dig them up!

Of course writing counts. "Arts" encompasses music, literature, and even Keruvalia's feces-paintings in my books.

I really like the palm tree one - it's very eerie looking, it's amazing how you were able to add depth and interest to such a (usually) clichéed sort of image!!

P.S. you might want to shrink the image a bit, though, before the mods get mad!

Mixed media: usually water media (primarily water color and acrylic, sometimes, gouache, water-soluble crayons, and water-soluble pastels), collage, and found objects. Occasionally I'll add oil sticks, egg tempra, pencil, charcoal, or who knows what's on hand. Usually neo-abstract-expressionistic. I did have some stuff online, but my page died, plus I haven't been so activel of late.
I have been doing some experiments with electronically manipulated digital photos that I might put up...

heh, I'm an artist!

But on a slightly more serious note... the drawings I made in my thread are about all I have the patience to do most of the time. I have made a few doga renders, but that's just like... lego more than actual 100% original creation.
Anyway, this is what things look like when I put my mind to it:

big red destroyer, large pic (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v639/Guo2/WrathBlossomdestroyer.jpg)

a robot-spider thingy. (http://upl.silentwhisper.net/uplfolders/upload4/doc_ock_slightly_lower_res.JPG)

For my usual stuff, however, just check the thread in my sig.

So... I used this thread as an advertisment for a thread I'm taking a break from. Is that low? possibly. But who cares?

I draw only when I'm bored. Unfortunately I have a very low boredom threshold, so I'm easily bored in lectures.
It's interesting to look through my notes, especially for my Post-grad Diploma. By the 2nd week there's little doodles in the corners. As the weeks wore on the doodles got bigger and the notes got smaller. Until one week all I wrote was the date, then drew more and more bizarre pictures.
It was annoying cause we couldn't pass unless we had 90% attendance.
I prefer the courses where they don't care whether you're there or not. One Statistics paper I did, I went twice for the whole year. First time I fell asleep, 2nd time I wrote a short story about a man talking to his psychiatrist. I did consider keep going and write a story each 2 hour lecture and then publish them under the title "Statistics 61.201" but thought against it.
I still got a B+, which made me think maybe I should have gone more often.

Anyhow, here's a blogsite of a good friend of mine who's an incredibly talented person - an artist and also a musician to boot. But into experimental stuff, so it ranges from beautiful pieces of work to screaming noise - sometimes in the same piece of work.

Do you paint? Do you sculpt? Sketch? Animate? I wanna hear about it!
If you have a passion for art, feel free to post some of your own work, or somebody else's if you feel it's really good.

I just finished a v-day painting for my boyfriend, seen here. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v356/sberman86/AngelforAlex.jpg)

If you count poetry, I'm an artist. If you count paintings, I've completed 1 and 1/2(a work in progress). I don't really think of myself as qualifying for that term.

Everything should have two names imo.
