Anyone besides me like "What Dreams May Come?"

I know! I know! It's kinda sappy and romatic and weepy, but I can't help myself; I love this movie!

After all, who wouldn't love to think there's an afterlife where you can be with those you love for all eternity? Who wouldn't love to think that the one you love would rather spend that eternity in hell than be without you in heaven?

"I found you in hell. Don't you think I could find you in New Jersey?" :D

I thought it was a very interesting concept that was poorly executed.

I love that movie too. I'm a really sappy, sentimental, romantic person...lol.

Eh. If you're into sappy movies, I much preferred Annie Hall and Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Been a long time since I've seen it, and I usually like anything Robin Williams is in. It isn't one of my favorite movies, but I enjoyed it :)

Heh! Me too, but only at times. I just saw that movie again on TV this evening and was reminded of how much I enjoy it. :)

Why do so many military types have this tendency? Does it have to do with some connection between idealism and romanticism? Most military types I have known are pretty idealistic ( unless it's whupped out of them in combat, which is sad. ), and many of them seem to have a real soft spot for little kids and "sappy romanticism." ;)

Seen both; liked Annie Hall but Breakfast at Tiffany's left me kinda cold. No idea why, so don't ask! :p ;)

I never could get into the movie, but the book is an awesome read. I should've watched the movie first!!!

Yeah, they're both a little unusual. They both make me happy, though. Sort of.

I rather enjoy that movie. Sad to see how hard it is to find.

I think romanticism and idealism go hand in hand, because i think you have to be pretty idealistic to believe in romance, to believe in many things. The idealism with regards to military personnel isn't surprising to me because i don't think people would join the military if they didn't believe there was something out there worth fighting for, if they didn't believe they were changing things for the better. Kids are the future, they are the world's potential, they are its hope, it's faith, its dignity. All things which people want to fight for. That's just my take on it though.

What could they have done better? The special effects seemed fairly well done to me.

Kewl! I think I agree with you. :)

It's always mystified me how anyone could not like children. But maybe that's just because I've always loved lil kids.

I didn't feel they did a good enough job showing the relationship between Robin Williams and his children. I also had absolutely no sympathy for his wife. None. I guess you could say that it made his devotion to her that much more significant. But she didn't seem like a good person at all, which made his sacrifice seem very pointless. (Pointless is not the word I'm looking for, but it's the best I can come up with right now.)
