Teresa Heinz, not "Teresa Heinz Kerry!"

A campaign convenience is no more.
According to The Washington Times, *Teresa Heinz, *the erstwhile *Teresa
Heinz Kerry, *has stopped using the last name of her husband,
Massachusetts Sen. *John Kerry,* last year's Democratic presidential nominee.
Preceding its Women Who Make a Difference Awards dinner next month, the
National Council for Research on Women is featuring "a conversation with
Teresa Heinz," according to a release from the organization. The council
failed to mention the final half of the Fox Chapel ketchup heiress'
formerly elongated last name in several other references.
"I just checked and she no longer uses her (entire) last name; only
during the (presidential) campaign did she use Kerry," campaign
spokeswoman Tamara Rodriguez Reichberg said.

yup. because the american public demands that its leaders obey most of the ancient social conventions, and any who don't are written off immediately. which is why jefferson would never get elected today.

Who cares Eutrusca? The election is over, get over it.
This matters because...?
Let her call herself whatever she wants, who cares? If she wants to call herself mommashabooboo for a week, then that's her thing.

Given the degree of mental stability she displayed during the campaign, I wouldn't be surprised if she were already calling herself that.

You dont think the fact that Jefferson was a slave owning son of a bitch might stop him getting elected today?

Too bad Heinz isn't her "real" last name either. She's just gone from her current husbands last name to her previous husbands last name. :D LOL

I like to think I'm quite sane (I suppose some may disagree) When Zeppistan and I got married, I kept my own last name. It's the 21st century, women even work in positions of power now. Gosh they even gave us the vote! hehe. ;) :D
It's obviously some kind of conspiracy, Eutrusca. I'll bet she wouldn't have gone through with it if she knew you were going to catch on to her.

Just part of the general pattern of duplicity and half-truths which were the hallmark of the Kerry campaign. :)

What, do you mean an attempt to mislead people into thinking that J Kerry and T Heinz are married? Hang on....are they not married?

That being the case, in the event of divorce, surely they are both only entitled to one half of any half that they would be entitled to if they had been fully married...I will only accept this is true in the event that they do get divorced, and I get the remaining half of their halfs...
Of course my plan to enrich myself at the expense of Kerry and Heinz would probably fail in the event of a half divorce (or it could work in my favour, as they may each only be entitled to a half of half of half, thus leaving even more for me)....also I dont want custody of any half children, that would be messy; blood stains are not called stains because they wash out easy you know.... ;)

Well..Eutrusca this is sorry to say kinda pointless.
You'd have to be as dumb as some folks are in these forums to not realize that Kerry and Teresa are married for one single reason and it aint because they love each other dearly. She didnt use his last name before the campaign and its no surprise she'd stop using it after the campaign failed. Hell the only reason she took it up was to appeal to the centrist just right of centrist folks who still believe a woman should adopt the last name or at least vice versa.
And in other news, the Bush twins are back to drinking and doing blow off of each others bellies.
Really, why do you still care?
NEWSFLASH: The election is OVER. The candidate you so vehemently hate has lost. Are you still going to be talking about this in 20 years?

As opposed to Dick Cheney? Who told some reporter to f*** off? Or however he put it?
Dick Cheney told Vermont Sen. Patrict leahy to go fuck himself. Teresa Heinz **insert Kerry here** told a reporter to "shove it." This later became a question on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, mainly because they couldn't really ask what Cheney told the dude from Vermont.
**cutaway to Meredith Vieira asking a question for $32,000**
In 2004, Vice President Dick Cheney told a Senator from Vermont to do which of the following?
A. Burn in hell
B. Eat shit and die
C. Bits his ass
D. Go fuck himself

Umm...you could have always just ignored the thread. You cant call it a red herring if you decide to actively post in it. And you cant call it a red herring because its the topic of dicussion in this thread.

I really don't care what she calls herself. Just so long as it isn't Mrs. President. ;)
Seriously: Why haven't the DEMs had a good first lady since Jackie??
