Yay. I have a theremin. Sadly it's just the circuit at the moment, as I haven't housed it yet. I can't play it very well either, but sheer enthusiasm more than makes up for that.
We could fit a friend of mine in as well - he has bongos, a harmonica, an accordion, a didgeridoo and a guitar. Not sure how many he can play at the same time though...

Oops. I just read that you posted the Beatles, Queen, and U2 as bands where more people can name other members. Personally, I can not name the people that you mentioned but that is because I listen to a different type of music.

I have to admit, I had to google Frankie Poullain to see who he is - but then again, I've never heard of The Darkness either, so I didn't have much of a chance there.
But what's with your whole "uneducated masses" thing? Just because someone doesn't happen to know the exact sorts of facts that you know doesn't mean they're uneducated.
Maybe you just mean "uneducated in music" - that they haven't learned about music the way you have - but the way you talked in some of these posts just sounded so offensive!

With my acoustic guitar, you can actually create a pretty nice bass drum sound by hitting the body with you wrist, and an interesting quasi-snare sound by slapping it with the flat of your palm. So if I got good at switching back and forth between those, I suppose I could record "percussion" with that.
