Bjork?

Yes Björk is Icelandic but I am kind of giving people a sample of other Icelandic music and bands, lesser known.

The music was rather generic, bland samples of their genres (pop-rap, garage rock and pop-rock respectively). The videos, however, were excellent, particularly the Mínus video.

Yeah, just to get a wide range of genre.
The Mínus video is taken in Reykjavík on a weekend so what goes on in them really is how it is here. Guys can turn violent in a second so if you come here you really should have an Icelander with you, a friend or something like that.

THe opening riff was good, but I don't like rap much.

The first one had potential musically (a lot actually), but the "rap" bullshit was a bit much to stomach.

The second was my favorite. Very interesting and not half bad.

The third one...boring. Nuf said.

Yeah I know, I was just joking that the only recognizable music out of Iceland is Bjork.

Good question. My friend worked on the video and the chain thing was the directors idea or something like that. It is to show that the person is trapped in his mind or something. I don't really get it. It's like the video is taken in is mind.

Sigur Rós, Björk etc. are all well known, thees bands are not. Thats why I have their videos here so to let people get a feeling of other types/genres of Icelandic music.

The Sugarcubes (or should that be Sykurmolarnir?) were a pretty good band. What happened to the rest of them?

As for the vids you supplied - I didn't like them. There weren't any polar bears. Icelandic videos should always have polar bears in them.

They all live here and are still playing music.
Polar Bears? Why? We dont have Polar Bears except a few that drift here from Greenland on Icebergs.

Þetta var myndband sem einhver á bát í smugunni tók. Ég held að það hafi verið sýnt í fréttunum...
Þetta var samt ekki þessi frægi sem vitleysingarnir hengdu.

Are you using the character map to insert all the non-english letters?
Because that must have been really annoying.

I mean, really, trying to find one letter with it is bad enough!
Not to mention that many.

Ég man ekki eftir þessu með bóndann. Það hefur eflaust verið fyrir smugudeiluna
