In response to all the hubub about Valentine's Day, I am starting a thread for all us singles to come in and discuss how great it is to be single!
(that doesn't mean I totally reject the possibility of a relationship in the future, however)

I'm single and perfectly happy with that at the moment. I still like Valentine's Day though, i always have. To me it's not just about love between partners, but about love between family and friends too, i think it's a day to celebrate love in all its forms.

Except for the sleeping with me at night part, my friends and family do all those things, which is all i need right now. That's not to say that i wouldn't like to have someone special in my life one day because of course i would, but i refuse to settle. If i meet some great guy and we end up happy together, that's great, but i'm not going to sit around being miserable until that happens. Life is way too short. I believe everything happens for a reason, and if i am meant to meet the love of my life one day, then i will.
