I like virtually every single sci-fi show in existence. But I cannot agree with Lexx. it offends me on every level.

I gave it a chance. I watched two episodes and said "blah", then came the episode with the bannanas that would control people's minds by going up their asses. I promptly declared the show retarded at that moment.

Lexx is frickin' hilarious! It's one of those shows where you laugh at it as much as with it and its got some crazily original ideas and characters that eventually draw you in.

Mind you, in the UK it was always on around 1 am, so my opinion of it may be somewhat affected by lack of sleep and/or mind altering drugs.

But still!

I rather enjoyed it. A little spoofing, a little action, a little poetry.

The fact that you react so strongly to it shows that it was that capable of leaving a lasting impression. I certainly remember it better than I do Spaceballs.

I applaud this comment. Sci-Fi is a noble and capable genre, but to use it as a venue for pseudo porn is just dumb.

I've only seen about 20 minutes of a single episode, and that was 20 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Lexx was/is the worst sci fi show ever, they jsut gave up on making a coherent plot line, or rather they tried to make a coherent plot line that was so stupid it didnt make any sense. the only good tyhing about lexx is random amounts of naked babes

Early on (the original couple of series') it was okay. Then it got progressively sillier. If I want silly, i'll watch Red Dwarf.

I remember seeing half a Lexx episode from early in the first season. If the ridiculously long starting credits didn't put me off, the terrible acting, plot, sickening sets and the apparent obsession with sexuality (probably to distract viewers from the above shortcomings) certainly would have.

Lexx is, IMO, the single worst sci-fi series I've ever seen. Someone would have to pay me very hansomely for me to even consider watching that show again.

OK, the show sucks big time, but the hot blonde chick in it who always wears the short skirts is worth the viewing time!!!

Lexx was one of those tv shows where I got the impression that the whole thing was based on a joke I just couldn't quite get. I'm vagually sure it was meant to be a comedy, but it wasn't actually funny. And then there where loads of just frickin obvious technical innacuracies that just had to have been done on purpose - like those shuttles that have insect-like wings that work in space... in fact, I'm pretty sure the whole thing was just meant to piss people off.

Now if you want to see a great, original SF show - pick up the Firefly boxset ;)

I watched Lexx, at every opportunity, because of the eye candy.

Sure, there was a lot of weirdness and absurdities. But what can you expect from a story about a nightmare universe ?

how can anyone not like that show? it's very funny,and it's got Zev. it's one of my favorite sci-fi shows.
