Imagine getting up in the morning and saying the Pledge of Allegiance, starting with "I pledge allegiance... to the flag... of the United States of Adidas".

Cool. :) Thats when the corporations buy over the government I guess. :p

Or when the government gets corrupted that the corporations can buy their way into doing stuff. Kinda like here. :p

When the corporations buy the government and then say we're fascists. Then the people are like, "Okay." And then the EPA is like, "Oh crap."

what do people actually mean when they speak of corporate facisim .. cause.. i dont see itWell, I dunno what other people mean when they speak of corporate fascism, but the way I see it, (to paraphrase Noam Chomsky) it goes like this:

Fascism is a system where power is structured from the top down.
Corporations are places where power is structured from the top down.

Corporativism or the Corporate state doesnt mean absolutely anything to do with big companies or Corporations running the country or anything like that. The Corporations are part of the government that all established business fall under the Juristiction of. Depending on the size of the company, if it's a small store that someone privately owns then the Corporation keeps out it's way and doesnt interefere. But if it's an established nation chain then it will fall under the jurisdiction of the Corporation and be required to be partly run by it. The Corporation overseas all business and especially the tax department. Most big businneses today will try and send their money abroad and therefore avoid having to pay tax. The Corporations would make sure that the tax stays in the country and put to use by being re-spent on state projects. Like keeping income tax levels down or whatever other uses.
It means that a established business whatever that may be say AOL for example would come under jurisdiction of the Corporation(probably the Internet Corporation) and have their finances checked and also have to follow certain policies that the Corporation enforces such as fair trading and employment policy.
If you want to discuss a certain point in better depth then let me know!

Corporatism is the situation where you work for the company, live in its house, shop at its store and other aspects which mean that the company owns you. It's like privately owned communism.
