this question came to me, most people here have probably seen at least one movie with a robot or cyborg assassin. I was wondering what the general opinion on what the best one was

It would have to be the terminator from T2. The one made out of liquid metal.

Yeah, but Motoko rarely assasinates people, and her unit mostly acts like FBI/secret service in the movies and series.

Yeah, I suppose so. I was just thinking they meant someone who's JOB was assassination, she kinda does it on the side as needed ;). But I understand completely what you mean. Anyone who kicks ass and quotes Milton deserves much praise. Have you seen any of the SAC eps? The second season (called 2nd Gig) is floating around the net now. I managed to get about 3/4 of the 2nd series thus far.

Blade Runner
Nice to see that I'm not the only one who thinks Roy (Rutger Haeur) from Bladerunner is super-cool.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near Tanhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears ... in rain.
Time ... to ... die."

What other Cyborg got to say such cool lines?
Bit of trivia - the last line ("All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die") was improvised by Rutger Hauer.
Also when he fought Deckard, he was starting to die*. At his prime, he could have gone toe to toe with Terminator.

*Another bit of trivia - the movie was originally set in 2020, but was changed afterwards to 2019. They changed it because they felt the date might be confusing (2020 means perfect vision). That's why the inception and death dates don't match up. In the movie it's mentioned the replicants have a 4 year life span and were created 2016. So technically Roy should have had 1 year left of life.

True, but I thought that he and his pals were genetically engineered creatures made to look like and serve humans. Humans have been known to smash concrete with their limbs and break cinderblocks with their heads.

Well, if you're going to get technical, they were androids (Ridley Scott felt the word was over-used so came up with the term replicant).
However if we're to take the thread to mean a machine created with superhuman powers/abilities and designed primarily to kill, then Roy fits in nicely. He was a biological machine not robotic, that's all.

Fair enough. Plus it was based on the Philip K Dick story, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, which implies circuitry of some sort.

Need I bring up the "Deckard was a replicant" debate" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blade_Runner#Debate_over_whether_Deckard_is_Human_or_a_Replicant)? :)
He'd actually qualify as an assassin if he were a replicant. Roy may or may not, seeing as he was a "Combat, Colonization Defense Prog" model. (He was hyper-cool, though.)

Star Wars: KOTOR. He was a droid that you buy on Tattoine, who doesn't remember anything because his memory cores were...wiped, or fused or something. Anyway, he had a severe disdain for humans and non-androids, hence 'Meatbags'. Also, obviously, he turns out to be a droid assasin.

There were a lot of ABC-robots... hell, there was an ABC-warrior comic. Can't remember all of the names, but he reminded me of mongrel more than anything. But those comics rocked nearly as much as Rogue Trooper. Damnit. Off-topic, but anyone know where I'd be able to pick these up for cheap? The comic stores near where I am only stock new comics.

There were lots of ABC warriors. Hammerstein was the first type made and toughest. All the rest looked different and had different skills.
Also, there was no ABC comic. You're thinking of "2000AD", which is still going strong after 28 years. It features several strips in one comic - each about 6 pages long (including Judge Dredd)
They do release bound copies of series though. I guess you could try Amazon. Or the 2000AD website:

eck, sorry I shoulda been more clear. I meant an individual ABC-warrior comic made FROM the 2000AD eps, but sold seperately. An anthology, or summat. Same for what they done with all the rogue troopers and Robot-hunters. Basically, what I'm 100% sure what you're mentioning in your last few sentences.
