Interesting thread. I'm not in, nor have I ever been, but I have worked for the past 7 years with Adult Fostercare providers. My wife is a social worker that monitors Child Fostercare placements.
Just figured I give you a post to get your thread started. I am interested to see the results. Good luck with your paper.

I have a foster sister that my parent's took in once their own kids got older. That doesn't answer your question, but if you need feedback about what it's like to bring a foster child into a family, let me know.
