Who's Next?

So, who are we invading next? Will it be...
Iran? They say the nuclear program is for power. Riiiiiiight. Still, it looks like we'll beat them down rather than try diplomacy. It worked (kinda) before.
North Korea? They have the nuclear weapons, so it'll be tough. But things are still coming to a head.
France? Man oh man do we hate France. Good thing we have Lance Armstrong. And a growing economy.
Someone else? Suggest one. Or more.

How old are you? If you are ready to be drafted, then any of those countries would be a viable target.. if you are ready to be drafted :D
PS: If you invade France.. see you in the battlefield :D

I'm in college, just perfect for the Draft. The anti-war/draft protests here got bad in the '60s. Just wait for these.
This is all in good fun, by the way. I voted Kerry. I thought Iraq was a pisspoor idea. I still dislike France, though.
But seriously, if we do invade another country, would it be a good idea to enter the armed forces BEFORE I get drafted?
I'm torn between Iran and Syria.

It would have to be Syria. Iran is too strong a target and the US only goes after weaklings.

I do not know the laws of your country, but i guess that if you say that you abuse drugs, or are gay, you wont go.
How do you call those people that refuse themselves to kill other people? You could register yourself as one, right now.. that can cover you, i guess.
You can also enter the armed forces now, and take a specialty like.. musician. Army musicians aren't sent to the battlefield :p

well we'd probably have to pull out the big weapons to defeat iran with minimum US casualties, and nobody wants to use those.
so i would guess the next to be rearranged will be Syria.

Then why are they sending troops over seas? Canada has vast oil resources. The tar sands of Alberta and the off-shore reserves in the Maritimes... (to name a couple...)...

that reminds me of a joke:
There's this pirate ship sailing home with their booty after looting god-knows-what.
They look out on the horizon and see a ship sailing right at them... obviously a ship sent to destroy them.
The first mate goes up to the captain and says, "Captain! Captain! What shall I do?"
Captain says, "Bring me my red shirt!"
First mate brings the captain his red shirt... captain puts it on, the pirates fight valiantly and defeat the ship sent to destroy them.
Next morning they wake up and see TWO ships sailing right at them... ships sent to destroy them.
"Captain! Captain! What shall I do?"
"Bring me my red shirt"
Once again the pirates fight well and defeat both ships.
That night they throw a real kegger... in the midst of which the first mate walks up to the captain and says, "Captain, why is it that every time we go into battle, you ask for your red shirt?"
"Well, me boy, if I am cut the men won't see my blood and they'll continue to fight valiantly."
His question answered, the first mate goes off to slam another stein.
The next morning, nearly everyone is horribly hung over. They look out on the horizon and see an entire fleet of ships sailing right for them.
"Captain! Captain! What shall I do?"
"Bring me my brown pants."

this reminds me of a song:
First WE got the bomb, and that was good,
'cause we love peace and motherhood.
Then Russia got the bomb, but thats okay,
'cause the balance of power 's maintained that way!
Who's next?
France got the bomb, but don't you grieve -
'Cause they're on our side! (I believe...)
China got the bomb, but have no fears,
They can't wipe us out for at least five years!
Who's next?
And then Indonesia claimed that they
Were gonna get one any day...
South Africa wants two - that's right! -
One for the black and one for the white.
Who's next?
Egypt's gonna get one too...
Just to use on you-know-who.
So Israel's getting tense,
Wants one in self defense.
"The Lord's our shepherd," says the psalm -
But just in case, we better get a bomb.
Who's next?
Luxembourg is next to go,
And, who knows, maybe Monaco...
We'll try to stay serene and calm,
When Alabama gets the bomb.
Who's next, who's next, who's next, who's next?

I think George W Bush will ignore the threat and allow Iran and North Korea to build up better nuclear weapon systems. He did it during the first term. Why would he do anything differently now?

Now wait a second. Iran, strong? Most of their equipment is outdated crap WE gave them. Not very intelligent of us I might add. I should point out that Iraq and Iran had a war going on for years and were quite evenly matched. I'm guessing we could easily take them.
And shoot, I'm not worried about France. The poilus are good, but we outnumber them by such vast amounts its ridiculous. Plus having more advanced equipment, etc. I'm sure they would quickly swallow all that anti-nuke talk and start firing at us. And Britain. And German too probably. Lots of tension between those two.

By the way, if you get drafted, then you are not a very smart individual. Best thing to do is enlist before you are drafted. You just might have an opportunity for advancement, and may even get to be fully trained before they send you out. This just a lil bit of advice from a member of a military family.

Bush wont invade Canada because there isnt a reasonable excuse to do so. We know, of course, that Bush went to Iraq for oil. Canada has oil too, but not even us Americans are dumb enough to believe him when he'd say that the canadian people are being tortured under their hobbies of tyranny, such as Beer, Hockey, and worst of all... Rush. And they must be liberated.

You also have to be freakin' amazing to be a military musician. My cello teacher was in the airforce orchestra, and she is unreal. She can sit and watch major symphonies and pick out big problems. Very impressive. I don't think she was a princapil either. I doubt, though I may be wrong, that there are any of us on here who could get into US military music.

According to the SSS in: "Only Sons" and the draft (http://www.sss.gov/FSsurviv.htm)
Contrary to popular belief, "only sons," "the last son to carry the family name," and "sole surviving sons" must register and they can be drafted. However, they may be entitled to a peacetime deferment if there is a military death in the immediate family.
Myth busted.

They would if all we did was attack maybe 3 government buildings and bypass their army entirely.
I think there's a highly likely chance North Korea will get invaded...after all, it suspended all peace talks and is arming itself with nuclear weapons to supposedly "defend" itself.

I don't believe that the US will attack any of those nations. I mean, would they really attack a nation that actually HAS nuclear weapons and can thus defend itself?!
Yeah, partly true. Especially when the US is still locked up in Iraq and Afghanistan. But in terms of "likely" future targets, say for example two years' time, well who knows?
