Funniest Lyrical Screw Up

We've all done it, and hopefully weren't corrected in public.
The funniest one that I've ever encountered was this goth chicky who somehow got the words "Turn out the lights" from the NIN song Terrible Lie.
Terrible Lie is not only the name of the song, but the chorus, repeated ad infinitum. She even knew the title of the song, but insisted on singing "Turn out the lights". No one at the party corrected her.
There is a cruddy slipknot song (can't remember what it's called) but I was laughed at when I thought he was singing "Fuck me, i'm low on amphetamines" when it's actually "all out of enemies". *shrugs*

There were some great ones I've heard with "Smells Like Teen Spirit"...
Stuff like:
"With the lights out
It's less dangerous
Harry Potter
Entertains us
I feel stupid
And can't rage us
Harry Potter
Entertains us
An armada
An album, oh!
The most wheat, oh...
I can beat 0!
Yeah!"
That's probably a fusion of 2 or 3 different screwed-up versions I've heard various people sing. I've heard it messed up so much I can't keep 'em straight anymore.

That reminds me of somebody that I heard singing along to "Stiff Upper Lip", except they were saying "Stick up her lip".

Can't say that I did. The only other song I've screwed up is One Week by BNL. There were about three points I had completely screwed up.

I have heard people sing 'Rock The Casbah' by The Clash as follows, believing these were the lyrics:
Charlene don't like it!
Fuck The Gasboard!
Fuck The Gasboard!
Charlene don't like it!
Fuck The Gasboard!
Fuck The Gasboard!

Pink Floyd - Did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a negro in a cage.
Jimmi Hendrix - 'scuse me while I kiss this guy...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That blue song is so horrid that it actually is not speaking words: "I'm blue/La Ba Dee/La Ba Di" are the official lyrics. But I prefer the unofficial "I'm blue/If I was green/I would die"

In "The Sound of Silence" I used to think they sang "Silence like a casserole"
whereas they actually sing "Silence like a cancer grows".*shrug*

I bought that once :(
Can't remember the exact words, it was one of those songs you forget immediately after singing. Anyway, the song was Starman by David Bowie; and somehow I heard the word pizza, and sung something to this effect;
"There's a strange man, waving from the sky
He'd like to bring us pizza, and I'm not quite sure why..."

I thought that I had misheard most of Guided By Voices' song "Everywhere With Helicopter", but it turned out there odd stuff I heard were the real lyrics.
Eyeline the driveway
Eye black the door
Sky all around me
Levels life from roof to floor
Trees and knees are lovely
Seek it, find the core
I have grown to life
Like all in silence
Wait for more
Everywhere with helicopter
Hard to follow/swallow
When I'm slow
Everywhere with helicopter
Sending off where lightning goes
(censor of the lightning ghosts)
I will try to fight them
I will let them nowhere to go
Try escape the pace
I'll say "God bless you"
Let me know
We know the answers
We fill us in
I do not diminish
Start to finish
Front to end
Everywhere with helicopter...

I have no idea how or why this happened, but I used to think it was "Sweet Home California" instead of Alabama. :rolleyes:
I know I've misheard stuff a bunch but I can't remember anything specific right now...
...but, I STILL don't know what Britney is saying in Bombastic Love, one of the few songs of hers I will tolerate. It's something like this:
And I don't know why I feel so insecure
I never understood what it's good for
I gotta make sure that ____ness won't stop me again
I can't sit and wait anymore
What the hell is that blank? Various websites have told me darkness, quickness, and a bunch of others that I can't remember but none agree with each other, and quite frankly I'm hearing "boldness" but that wouldn't make sense.

something about dirty deeds dunder cheif
^ i quoted teh wrong person like a dumbass so had to paraphrase that quote
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
funny - i was actually close to yours on this "dirty deeds... dun dun cheif"
theres the obvious "excuse me, while I kiss this guy"
I heard a comedian sing "Big 'ol jet had a lite on" (Big 'ol Jet Airliner, dont carry me too far away)
And for my usual online handle I misinterpreted the song "Sex" by Berlin to say "I'm a blue moon beast", where really it's a blue movie apparently.
