Greatest Song By The Fugs.

That's right, the Fugs. Not the Fugees, the Fugs. Never heard of 'em? Well, that's okay - what do I care? I don't expect to see anyone post to this thread anyway. Except maybe the people lookin' to get ol' Dobbsy kicked off of NS (I know who you are, I got the telegrams).

Then again, maybe I'm in for a surprise. It's a crapshoot! It's a skeet-shoot! It's...a bunch of stuff most of you will never bother tracking down, and if half of you (you-know-who) ever did, you'd probably spend the rest of the week back-and-forthing on whether they should be slapped down or strung up, never mind the hilarity of it all.

Fugs suck. Holy Modal Rounders are A-#1.

Also, the Fugs totally ripped off Holy Modal in naming their albums. Wannabes. ;)

LOL

Thanks for that. Really, thank you. That was sweet.

No "boobs a lot" on the poll? :(

Well I managed to screw up the poll two or three times while posting it - and somehow, that particular tune slipped out of my forebrain in the process.

So how's it going, Pepe?

Not bad. I voted "Kill for Peace," just cause it's the best, musicwise. Trying to find some mp3s now that you've reminded me. :p

Ehhh...you know, I love that tune. Hell, I love all those tunes, and 'Kill for Peace' certainly ranks highly. I might even've voted for it myself.

But 'Slum Goddess From the Lower East Side', at least the full-on live version off of Golden Filth, strikes me as being a better piece of music than 'Kill for Peace'.

Hm. I'll definitely have to give that one a spin sometime if I can find it.. I only have 1, 2, and the live album around, and I don't quite remember that one. I'll have to get it from my professor who let me borrow a few last quarter, he's got everything under the sun.

I had to go with "Kill For Peace." Have you heard the latest album, "The Fugs' Final CD (part 1)?"

Not yet, but I'll be on the lookout now that I know. Thanks Jello.

Lol. Now that you mention it, I do need to lose a few pounds.

The Fugs. I had two or three of their albums; and I wish I still had them. They were an interesting group. I saw part of them in about 1974 in a small bar in Portland Orgeon.

Add "Nothing" to your list! Most nihilistic song of all time.
