Is it possible that some actually profit from war? Must be an awful lot of profits then. Who gets them? What if the oil won't flow?

Very interesting. Do the pro-war people care to comment?

Many people profit from war. WWII was a major contributor to the U.S.'s recovery from the Great Depression. It boosts the demand for many industries. After a successful war, the economy typically receives a boost, as well.

I would say that politicians do not profit from wars, though, at least not as politicians.

So it might be a good idea for a country to go to war in order to revive its economy? That must be what they mean by 'for freedom, and to protect our lifestyle'.

Interesting. I am not pro war as other posts of mine have clearly shown but the cost being shown is the cost of supporting the US military since that start of the Iraq war. This is NOT the cost of the war itself.
Biased propaganda against the war.

for one thing, how partisan is that website? Another thing, usually if people make an effort to start a war, they see some way to make a profit, which is why no one will help in Sudan, there's no way to get anything out of your investment, aside from happy people who dont have to worry about genocide, while you face hundreds of angry protestors complaining that you freed people from genocide

Ther cost is paid by people who don't really get a voice in the decisions. The people in power, on the other hand, like Halliburton, are having a huge spike in business because of the war, and its their vote that counts.

Are there any politicians on the board of Haliburton, or shareholders?

Dick Cheney is the owner, I believe.
