Stronghold, without a doubt one of the best games I own/have ever owned. And now Firefly have announced a new one, Stronghold 2. This looks like SUCH a good game. 3D being the major step up. I'll be first in line for this game, absolutely brilliant.

It is a pretty cool game. I bought it for $10 bundled with some Cuban Dictator Sim (i forget the name). Tropico something-or-other.

Stronghold was a ok game. I did like the castle building, the actual strategy was a little thin, hopefully they improve on that in SH2.

I have to admit I found the attacking scenarios almost impossible until I learned how to play the game properly. Freebuild was so much fun though! Besides, this one looks like being a lot lot better. (even though it was a brilliant game)

Firefly and Elixir are the 2 best games development studios, IMO. Firefly had Stronghold and Space colony, while Elixir had Republic and Evil Genius.

I definitely agree about Firefly, however I do have to say I really like Ensemble Studios. Creators of Age of Empires (I think) and definitely of Age of Mythology. Also worth mentioning are Big Huge Games, creators of Rise of Nations.

Stronghold 2 looks like it's going to be fantastic. The graphics look good now it's 3D and some of the new ideas they've come up with sound good, like being able to fight inside buildings.
