This is just a poll of the most common instruments which people play. If you play something else and you wanna tell us how much better your instrument is, fuck right off and make your own thread. If you want to discuss the instruments on the poll, thats fine.
I play the guitar (Like almost everyone that will post in this thread) . Been learning for 3 years and I still suck :p

I play four of those options: Guitar, keyboard, saxophone, and vocals. I voted sax because that is my best by far, which does not say much.

I play bass guitar, drums, and I sing (not all at once). Shame I couldn't choose more than one.

Because you said you're good at it, we can automatically assume you're not then.
I play guitar and bass.

i play bass, guitar, piano,, i can drum a bit but not much and i can sing but craply
You needed to make it so I could pick more than one. I play many, many instrumetns. I am particullarly good at bass guitar, play it a ton, and am in fact getting paid to play that one right now, so I picked that.

Possibly. There is a point at which you know you are good. However that also comes with knowing that there is a long ways to go, and you could be infinitly better. It's kindof depressing. *sigh*
I used to play Piano. But I quit last year after failing twice to pass Grade 8. :(

Nothing. I have a complete absence of musical talent. I even sing way off key.

nothing

It only transalates into 220 bpm (in 4/4) on quarter notes. Not uncommon for a Jazz bassist who emphasises swing.

Ah, duh *slaps head* I can do that too, with some difficulty.

So long ago that it's almost in another lifetime, I played the piano, and for a mercifully brief time after Vietnam I played the sitar, an instrument with which I developed a fascination after first hearing it played when I was in the Far East.

I'm a bassist. I've been experimenting lately with distortions, specifically using an overdrive in concert with a condencer. The sound is very interesting, almost more like a guitar then a bass, just a really really heavy sounding guitar. Maybe I ought to get another bassist behind me, so I can just play rythm. Hhhhmmmmmm.

I dont know what country you live in, but in the UK the most common insturments to play are the clarinet and the flute. I would be interested to know where you got the belief that the instrements you cite were the most "common"

I voted guitar, but I play more than that.
I play bass too, but the current bass I have is just a guitar I modified a bit so as to function as one until I can get my hands on a real one.
I play keyboards.
I sing decently, at least in my opinion.
I used to play flute, and I probably still could if I had a couple of minutes to check up on fingerings and such.

I play the saxophone and i'm proud :) My nick is "Saxy Sarah", i am in 3 school bands, plus music class. I own my own sax, and I've been playing for... 5 years. I play alto and baritone and I have played tenor, for about a week in music class, and i played the soprano once. I have been told I am talented, in fact I was told I had a natural talent because in grade 8 I picked it up with no previous music experience aside from recorder in gr. 3 and i managed to play quite well. GO ANYONE WHO PLAYS THE SAX!!!!!!!!! i strongly believe it is one of the coolest instruments ever, as well as the bassoon :) (ps. I'm a little bit hyper as i just ate pancakes drenched in syrup)

I would imagine there are more popular modern bands with drummers and guitarists than clarinets and flutes
EDIT: I've been playing sax since I was 8. 10 years, then.

I've played guitar since I was eight. (I'm 37 now) Studied for two years at Berklee College of Music in Boston. (explains the Red Sox thing) Played and recorded professionally in my area ever since.
I also played sax in high school. Not much of a singer.

Instruments that I have gigged: Voilin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Bass Guitar(Electric, Aucustic, and five string), Percussion, Five string Banjo, guitar, elec guitar, clarinet (it was humiliating), piano, voice, and ukelele.
