They're good for some antipersonnel IED's. Some C4, duct tape and a couple boxes of nails works wonders. Work quite well against Posleen.

And actually, no, using C4 would kind of defeat the purpose as you want something to still be there to get hit by the nails. Think more along the lines of Composition A Class when working with IED's.

What do you mean how so? The man has musical talent above and beyond most human beings of our time or any time. He has a knack for mixing sounds that you would not expect to be very melodic into his music. He can create a hard-hitting and loud emotional song, followed by a beautiful instrumental piece.

Hmm.
That's like earlier I was listening to "Mayonaise" by the Smashing Pumpkins on three diferrent media players out of sync, and for one bit they all fell into sync and there was this incredible tribal rhythm. It was really cool.

Yes, it's like that. They play off of each other a lot because of the repetitiveness.

TR has an interesting ability to layer sounds, somewhat in the way that classical composers could layer instruments together, in order to convey mood and energy.
Fave songs = And All That Could Have Been, Complication, The Mark Has Been Made
Fave remix = Clouser's Ruiner (version)

He is not the only one to do this. You truely feel that his talents are on par with JS Bach, Wagner, Mozart, etc? Even Page, Hendrix, Zappa, Lennon?
His songs are only emotional if you are a depressed weirdo. His melodic abilities are not all that, in my opinion. In fact, I dare say he lacks a decent ear for music. The true test of any musician or songwriter is that you can get a feeling across without saying as much, or even playing much. I'm sorry but none of NIN's instrumental pieces would be called "beautiful". My question is will his work stand the test of time?

While many have called me a weirdo, I'm certainly not depressed.

There is no accounting for test.

You are one of his fans who would buy a bag of shit from TR if he said it was his, wouldn't you?
Sorry, but myself and many others would not call it beautiful. Besides, he's as big a thief as any of the 60's and 70's rockers who stole from the Blues.

I'm assuming that you're referring to John Lennon, to which Reznor is certainly better than, in my opinion. And he manages to get stronger emotions across with simpler music. Though Beethoven is indeed achnigly beautiful (who is, by the by, better than either Bach or Mozart!), the music is not emotional.
