Has Bush visited your town?

Well, you might not have known it, but he may have. Too bad you might not have known until later. You could've killed him or got an autograph from him.

He has been to my town. A small town of 50,000 mostly Democrats.

Well anyway, has Bush been to your town? You don't have to say what town if you don't want to.

Cheney was in Michigan somewhere near here (Grand Rapids) And someone called in a threat and was arrested.

Yes, he has. What a fucking pain in the ass of a day THAT was trying to get anywhere through the security cordons and rolling roadblocks. Hell, Condi Rice alone had an entourage of almost 300 people who needed roads closed and cleared in front of her convoy....

No one ever comes to my town. Though it was the campaign headquarters for the short lived Bill Bradley campaign back in 1999-2000.

Consider yourself fortunate. Being in a hub of political activity has it's drawbacks. My office is about four blocks from Parliament Hill and I can't count the number of times some official visit or protest has completely screwed up my commute.

Work sucks enough without waiting an extra half hour getting there and back because the farmers have a pickle up their ass about something, or because some dignitary needs to keep the little people far away from their shiny limo.

Yes.
Not only was he here, but he drove right infront of me, and waved at me!
As well as held up the city buses for an hour, preventing me from going home and sleeping as I had planned that morning because I was really tired and skipping English Lit to do so.

Of course, if I hadn't skipped English Lit, Bush wouldn't have waved at me.

Georgia was pretty much a given Republican state this election, so I don't think he came here during the campaign. I think he might have come here a couple years ago, however, and it resulted in gridlock throughout most of the major highways.

No, but I wish he did. That would be quite awesome. He'd probably be mauled to death though;I live in Danville, quite near San Francisco. On the positive note, I did meet Bill O'Reilly! (For two minutes, while he signed a book. He did say "You have a good, strong name." (Armand).)

He came to Atlanta last March/April something like that. I was eating at Ted's downtown before a Thrashers game and they were towing a whole bunch of cars that were lining the streets. I'm just glad I parked in a parking lot, otherwise I would probably still be walking around the streets trying to figure out where I parked my car!

Well, I, sadly, live in "The fire in the sea", Indiana. You'll know why I give it that name If you look at the blue state / red state map from 92 or 96 elections. The president more than likely feels that he has Indiana secured, (I dont think we've voted demo' since the 60's) so he never comes here, for election purposes or otherwise. I'd like to keep it that way.

I think he hit L.A., San Diego and San Francisco for fundraisers, but not for speeches. Even if he had though, I'm in San Bernadino county, so no. Arnold has, though, I'm pretty sure.

Now, in '96, I specifically remember being tied up on the 5 for a good hour because of a motorcade coming down from L.A.. coulda been Clinton or Dole, not sure.

I'm fairly certain that the cities of Groningen and Hamburg haven't had the displeasure of Bush polluting the air supply with his presence. But poor Mainz will. In about 2 weeks Bush will invade Mainz.

I had the pleasure of eating lunch with the future President right before the 2000 elections. It was only a half hours time, and we ate cheesesteaks, but it was time well spent. We spoke about my injuries, and I told him of my problems I was having with the VA. He didn't forget me when he was elected.

BTW He still sends birthday cards to me and anniversary cards.

Nope, haven't heard anything about him coming to my town yet. All the hippies in this town will march over someone spilling their milk though, so bush coming would make it hard for me to drive through town to get to the hockey rink.

Well, Bush is coming to Belgium, which is about the same size as New York, so in American ayes it could be a city.

Not really, he did visit Australia in Canberra before we got our FTA but that's thousands of miles away from where I live. On the other hand, I'm expecting the US military near my city sometime in the future.
