The "Don't judge too quickly" with the cat and knife was the best one :)
The GoDaddy.com one disgusted me however the Diet Pepsi one was pretty good. FedEx one was the best cause it's so true.

The GoDaddy.com one was supposed to be a parody of censorship...just pointing that out....you can still be disgusted if you want but it was satire.

There's a full version of that commercial on the web. Basically it's only purpose was to make fun of the actions of the FCC. As a company, however, Godaddy.com needs to be taken out back and beaten with tire irons.

They got our attention anyway. Everyone knows the name godaddy.com so they were successful.

Best one was the Rothlisberger song one. I cracked up when Chuckie started to sing (Buc's coach, for those who don't know), and then screamed "Knock it off!" Absoulutly Classic.

I liked the Budweiser (at least, I think it was Budweiser) one where all the folks in the Airport gave a standing ovation to some Marines returning from abroad. It was touching.

Nothing like capitalizing on potential consumers sympathies to make profit - truthfully I thought it was tasteless. The commercial might look nice, but when the motives behind it are (and of course always have been) motivated by greed, I tend to become a little apothetic to the cause. :(

The cat and knife one actually got the everyone in the room laughing really hard...it was the only commercial to do that; so we decided it was the best one this year.
Actually, it was probably the best one in several years. I laughed so hard my eyes teared up.

Well, to begin with, I believe there was something said on SI.com to the effect that if the commercials this year had been a punt returner, it would have been pancaked as soon as it touched the football, fumbled, and the other team would have returned the ball for a touchdown. This is an understatement. As a whole, the commercials were pretty damn unfunny, especially considering this is when they are supposed to roll out the big and best commercials. This year's crop couldn't even beat the "Bud Bowl" commercials, and that's a pretty low hit on my part. . .
That being said, there were two commercials that I thought stood out.
The first was the Kinko's commercial, because it was a great satire of commercials in general, Super Bowl commercials in particular. I'm still chuckling about it.
The second was the NFL TV network's spot. On paper, you wouldn't think Joe Montana and John Gruden singing a song from "Annie" would fly, but by God, they hit comedic gold with that one. The scariest and funniest thing of all was that by the end of that commercial, they had me singing along.
Honorable mention goes to the Bud commercial about the parachutists.

Sorry, I may be alone in this, but when the "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" dude turned around in the "Staying Alive" Pepsi commercial, I nearly fell out of my chair. It was the last thing I expected. I give it my vote. Though the Bud airplane guys and the Fed-Ex commercials get a nod as well.

From the point of view of advertising effectiveness, GoDaddy.com definitely took home the trophy.
They're the only one who manage to link their product with the theme of the advertisement. (DHL and Volvo had advertisments which had next to nothing to do with their products!)
They also employed lampoon devices effectively, critizing the hypocrisy of 'moralist'-biased censorship. Especially the elderly panel member who put on his respirator.
So overall, an advertisement that was amusing, releveant to the product and memorable. What more could one ask for from advertisement?

Us Canadians don't get the superbowl commercials -thanks to those bastards at Global TV- so, unless we're actually intrested in the game, we don't watch.
Would love to add comments on what i thought was the best, but, just didn't see any so can't tell ya.
