I'm not even going to post a poll, because I know I would miss someone's favorite. You can post up your favorite overall, or your favorite funny show and favorite anime; or do a top 5.... It's really up to you!

OMGosh!!!!! A thread with actual meaning!!!! I am a total adult swim freak, and cannot begin to even try to pick a favorite show. All I can say is that I cannot believe they cancelled The Oblongs, that show was hilarious. I just recently bought the Home Movies Season One DVD, but I can't say that that show is my fave, but it's one of them. Oh, another cool show that I never see anymore is FC, but I haven't watched Sunday night recently. Of course I like all of the classics, Family Guy, Futurama, but sincerely I love them all. :fluffle:

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is the best anime I've seen. I've been watching Full Metal Alchemist, though, because I've heard it's very good.

The comedy in Super Milk Chan is somehow purely Japanese, I don't get it, and I (an avid fan of comedy, and dare I say, a person with a great, sometimes cruel, sense of humor) understand the comedy on every other comedic show in the line up. In terms of the best character. Who, or which character is the best character in all the shows. I have my top 3.

1. Peter Griffin
2. Carl from ATHF
3. Meatwad

Indeed both favorites of mine.
I live Family guy and when it was on Adult Swim Outlaw Star.

Anime is overrated. I grew out of that stage a couple of years ago. Comedy, however, never gets old. I've watched family Guy ever since it came out on Fox, and was pissed as hell when they took it off. I was ecstatic when they put it on Adult Swim. It's easily the best show on Adult Swim. Futurama ain't bad, either.

Anime is as much of a stage as pop music is. It's a very broad category. However, a very narrow subset of that category is actually played on Adult Swim.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Tom Goes To The Mayor. It's incredibly original(and hilarious to boot). Plus, they had Tenacious D in the first episode.

I know that. There's no point in Anime for me anymore. I hated trigun. Completely retarded. When I did like anime, I only liked a few. Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, and Gundam Wing were really the only ones that could hold my attention.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is the best anime I've seen. I've been watching Full Metal Alchemist, though, because I've heard it's very good.

Ghost in the Shell is visually stunning and has an awesome storyline! I LOVE the show! I have yet to see Full Metal Alchemist, but I shall soon. I also like Witch Hunter Robin.

Of course, Family Guy is a very funny show and Home Movies is some good stuff. I wish they had more episodes of Space Ghost: Coast to Coast; I think that show was classic.

Shoot. You beat me to it. I was just going to mention Space Ghost. Now those are pure genius. By the way, I hear that the entirety of the second Ghost in the Shell series has the same intensity as the end of "Stand Alone Complex". It should definitely be worth checking out. I got to see "Innocence" in the theaters. I liked it a lot better than the first movie.

Anyway, I feel like I should leave you all with this, as I've now wasted too much of your time.

I really liked Read or Die as well.
And for humor - Aqua Teen Hunger Force or Sealab 2021

I haven't seen the newer shows because several months ago my mom decided she hated TV and discontinued our cable service. *sigh* I miss [adultswim]

Full Metal Alchemist. The dubbing is actually pretty good. I've watched the Japanese version, but only some of it, and soon the Adult Swim one will move onto episodes I haven't seen before. I don't get to watch a lot of anime, so I have to take what I can.
I really like Venture Brothers and Stand Alone Complex too though. I also saw a couple of good Sealab episodes.

Zorak
*Blink*Blink*

Space Ghost
Hey!

Zorak
What? *blink*

Space Ghost
How do you do that?

Zorak
Do what? *blink*blink*

Space Ghost
Make that noise when you blink. I want to make that noise.

Zorak
Oh. Well, first you have to be funky fresh.

I'm funky fresh!

Next, you have to have eyelids.

Oh well...
Alright, I don't have the patience to sit through enough of that show to confirm this or not, but on Wolf's Rain-

Are they always wolves and only look human for thier interactions? Purely representational, not meant to mean that they can transform into wolves and humans, just to anthropormophize their interactions?

If that's the case, that show got a lot cooler.

Yeah, Futurama and FLCL are and were awesome, respectively. However, I have to stand by those who say Space Ghost: Coast to Coast.

"Shut up, Blip! Or I'll slam your head so far down between your shoulder blades you'll have to open that vest to face your own anguish as I hold a mirror up to your midsection! Yeah!"

Or

"Everybody knows Green Bay is NOT in December. You obviously don't shampoo."

And everybody would do well to remember, Aqua Teen Hunger Force wouldn't exist, had they not first appeared on SGC2C.

I'm surprised (and kind of shocked) that no has mentioned Big O yet! This is one of my favorite anime shows on AS. Any show that combines Batman with Gundam has got to be impressive. Sure it gets confusing if you miss an episode or two, but overall it rocks!

But I also like Inuyasha, Futurama, ATHF, Harvey Birdman, Sealab, and FullMetal. Milk Chan SUCKS!!!!!

Now if they can only get some more interesting anime shows that haven't been seen elsewhere... (I'm looking at YOU, G4TechTV and AnimeNetwork!!!!)

Well, I'm not going to consider Futurama or Family Guy as they aren't original programming to the Cartoon Network. Anyway...

1. Venture Brothers
2. ATHF
3. Sealab 2021

I can't stand Tom Goes To The Mayor or Super Milk Chan.

Robot Chicken was pretty good, but I have a feeling it could get real old real quick.

Being a diehard 'real robot' mecha fan, I'd take Gundam over Big O any day, no offense. IMHO, big o-style mecha is a bit too super robot-esque.

Oh and I finally saw Ghost in the Shell. Most excellent, the show is. :)

I find the English dubbing a bit painful. But it is excellent (check out the DVDs; the subtitles are much better than the dubs).

I'm a Gundam junkie too.

But I'd have to say my favorite is Fullmetal Alchemist. Good combo. of humor, seriousness, and blood.

I also like the flash cards.
