It's freezing up every five to ten minutes, it seems.

I noticed that too. Figured it was just my lousy system.

You whippersnappers have no idea how good you have it! Why, in MY day, you'd be lucky if you could even access the forums once a day! And not only did the forums freeze up, the problem could spread to the whole goll-darned computer and make it explode if you weren't careful! Youth is wasted on the young...

Know how WW2 veterans sometimes have flashbacks of their combat by events that trigger their memory.

Yep, Jolt has done that to me -- several times.

Yeah? Well in my day, to log onto the forums you had to run a mile down the street, unplug the telephones on the switchboard for the whole town, put in your super low speed home-made cable made from goats hair, and use your glasses as an antenna!

Hey, that just might be it...
AB, you win the Smart Award for having the lick of sense that I seem to lack.

Nah, it was giving me fits throughout the entire game.

And they're using a really old version of Apache.

Silly fellow, you should know better considering your age! Sure, the weird limbo-state we all experienced during the Jolt crossover back in the day was frankly uninspiring, and I actually have a screenie somewhere of the first error message I got from Jolt when it "came online," but since then it's been a cakewalk!

EDIT: Yoink! I found it.

I'll give you that Arizona. It has been easier since the switch but still it screws up at 1100PM EST!!

I guess that's when lots of people log on - just use the net at 7 in the morning like me and you'll never have any problems ... unless, of course, you have the time zone problem of living in Australia and accessing a forum in the US. :s

Ahhh, reminds me of when the forums were still connected to the can and string modems. I modded mine and used an instant mashed potatoes can and it was loading pretty well.

Jolt has had the shits ever since I've been here. This host just blows.

I think they would've been better off moving the VBulletin script to a better company.
