Except Brazil apparently, we get the whole regular season on NFL sunday Ticket if we want, then half the play offs on ESPN, then SFA for the Superbowl itself. I could watch some Ice skating, or maybe some rodeo. A recording of a 0-0 draw between Chelsea nad Manchester City, but no Superbowl. :( Of course, clashing with carnaval :mp5: does not help.

"American the Beautiful" was nice, I liked the kids signing. It was also a nice tribute to the WWII vets. I fell asleep the middle of the second quarter and woke up right before "Live and Let Die" came blasting out of my speakers. The second half was good, though. Overall, not too bad, I guess. At least it wasn't a total blowout.

Next year, Steelers are going all the way, baby! ;)

Ya know, at the end everyone kept going on and on about this dynasty. Dude, the Eagles almost tied it up and had a good chance the whole game. There's no dynasty or destiny or whatever crap they were trying to cram dowm my throat. It just all seemed to be a bit silly to me. The Pats are a good team, don't get me wrong; but stop trying to make me believe in this borderline religion they made up at the last minute. Ugh! THAT annoyed me.

Yeah, it did seem like they were a bit TOO clean. Didn't every other year they introduce the starting players individually (to which every one of them would say a line that featured the 'mutha f-word')? I kinda missed that, lol.

They are a group composed not of nameless losers and a few superstars, but a team of 2nd and third round draft picks, NFL veterans, and players retrieved from waivers. I see. That sucks, I'm sorry. I blew my PCL in a major way (almost nothing left, it quite literally exploded, leaving pieces to bat around), and sprained the other two of the primary triad. Kind of a freak injury, should have never happened with how I got hit, and then it was swollen more than 200% of normal and for way to long. They thought I had blood clots in my leg. Did it the second play of the second game of my sr. year. Finished the game. Missed about half of the season. Finished it from there and still made all-region(as an honorable mention, but that means I got a vote from every single coach who could vote me, my own wasn't allowed, nor are coaches you didn't play against). And knee braces are bloody pricey. $1000 for a Don Joy, same ones you see in the NFL. TO did gain a point in my book for playing

Good luck with your knee, I am very sorry. What position do you play?

Outside Linebacker. Used to play Reciever, but I was kinda slow thanks to my knee and they moved me to Tight End. However, in our offence we rarely use TE's...so I was basically a tiny tackle who didn't play much on offence. High School ball is strange that way. Ah well. I always liked defense better anyhow...lol.

Well, maybe to a homer.

The Patriots have a great team, don't get me wrong, but they remind me of the '72 Dolphins, which, although they went undefeated, never really dominated anybody.

All they did was win, which is good enough in the NFL.

They same is true of the current Patriots team, but I don't know that they could beat the Steelers of the 70's, the '85 Bears, the Niners of the 80s, or the Cowboys of the 90s. They deserve to be mentioned with those teams, but I don't think they beat them.

that guy is the biggest goof in the NFL.

It is never to start to look at next year and so I want to know who are your superbowl picks for next year?

I have the:

NFC Champions: Carolina Panthers- This is an easy pick for me they have a smothering defense and a great young coach if they can resign Muhsin Muhammed then that will give them a top 10 offense as well....

AFC Champions: Jacksonville Jaguars: They have a great defense and if Byron Leftwich and Fred Taylor can stay healthy they should have a pretty good offense as well... I am picking against the Patriots because both Romeo Crennel and Charlie Weis are leaving and it is going to be hard to replace two great assitant coachs that easily

Hey copio whatever you are the one who knows nothing about football I have a question idiot what happens over ten years? Guess what your players get old and tired and can't play as well. What the Pats have done in this era of the salary cap and parity is absoloutley unbelieveable but it can't last ten years because football is such a physical sport and as I said just a moment ago with all the parity there is now ten years is absoloutley ridiculous... Furthermore retard everyone has accepted them as a dynasty.... You are the one who does not know anything about football and it offends me when idiots get on these message boards and say stupid things about things they know nothing about.....

I really doubt that. From what I'm given to understand (and I live in Pennsylvania), the Eagles like TO quite a bit. He added an element to the team that just wasn't there before. And let's concede and say that maybe the Eagles DON'T like TO. Let me ASSURE you that the Eagles fans around here LOVE that guy.

Mind you, I'm not an Eagles fan. Yes, I like them, but my true loyalties lie with the Bengals.

SCREW THE STEELERS. NEXT YEAR IS A BENGALS YEAR BAY-BEEE!

You live in PA and you don't like the Phillys or the Steelers?!?!?!?! The Bengals?!?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me?

I'm a Pittsburghian at heart, and I will always remain so. I hate those Patriots, and I can't wait until next year...Roethlisberger is amazing and he is only going to get better.

 What NFL team has been a dynasty for 10 years? LOL

The 49ers. They played in nine conference championship games and five Super Bowls (winning all five) from 1981 to 1997, and were more or less consistently in the top echelon of the league for that entire time. The only losing season they had over that period was the strike-shortened 1982 season, and excluding that season they averaged twelve wins a year.

That is what a dynasty looks like.

I personally think a guy like that is BAD overall for the team. When you are a HUGE ass and constantly harp on your players that takes away from the entire team, even if you get a 100 yards and a TD.

that guy is the biggest goof in the NFL.

I disagree. Randy Moss is the biggest goof in the NFL.

Pity the Eagles have to rely on him to do well.

They made it to three NFC championships without him and then the Super Bowl without him. The Eagles have always been good, this year they were just very good. The addition of Kearse and return of Trotter had as much to do with that as Owens.

I agree. It's my contention that the salary cap in its present form has made a true dynasty (i.e. Yankees, Canadiens, Bulls, Manchester United) all but impossible in the NFL. Do you disagree with this contention?

I'd also like to know who this "everyone" is that has universally accepted the Patriots as a dynasty.

The game was boring. At least the Halftime show was the best in years.

It's true, and the sport is better for it.

I'd also like to know who this "everyone" is that has universally accepted the Patriots as a dynasty.

It doesn't matter about this year. Next year the Cowboys are ending things for the Patriots.

The NFL, it would seem (http://www.nfl.com/)

Opinions put forth by NFL.com columnists like Vic Carucci aren't necessarily the opinions of the NFL itself. Gregg Easterbrook's column, for example, is regularly critical of the NFL, but they publish it because they understand that it's to their credit as an organization to recognize outside opinions. Carucci is a sportswriter by trade, and I've always thought sportswriters a little too quick to assign superlatives to teams and players. An example: How many "most underrated" players have we seen in the last year alone?

Muhsin Muhammed has one good year and peops think the guy is god, I bet the panthers are a couple games over .500 and sneak into the playoffs, dont think they will do much beyond that. Mushsin will continue his one good one bad season streak, hes due for a bad one again..

I do like the Jags though, I think they may knock off a few teams to make to take the AFC championship, dont think they will go past that though...

Now, don't get me wrong! I like the Eagles, but the Bengals are _my team_.

I HATE the Steelers. Which is what bothers me about Roethlisberger, because I really like him. I just hate the team he's with. If you want to be exact, though, I should be a Ravens fan -- I'm in southern PA and we're actually closer to Baltimore than Philly.

I HATE THE RAVENS
