Dogmas and doctrines do not grow and evolve.

And yet they always have. Go figure...

And because you are sons, God hath sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying: Abba, Father.

No, dogmas do not evolve.

In that case, you cannot believe anything currently stated by any church whatsoever. You can only believe whatever was stated in the very first church ever formed. Of course, we don't know what that is, so you'll just have to make it up.

No, your statements show serious lack of understanding.

Not in the least. They simply show an actual knowledge of history - one which you either lack or ignore.

So, what you're saying is, the original Catholic faith is a dinosaur?

QUICK! SOMEONE GET A CULTURAL METEOR!

Servus Dei,
I am a conservative Catholic, and I really find your views disturbing. John Paul II has done so much good for our Church and the world, and should be hailed along with other great popes such as St. Peter, St. Leo I, St. Clemet I, Innocent III, St. Pius X, ect. Yes I disagree with him on a few issues but you as a lay Catholic like myself have no right to call the Holy Father a heretic.

I) No doubt the other popes you mentioned would consider John Paul II a heretic. Especially the ones you chose...

II) They differ greatly on so many issues, reconciling JP2's actions with traditional Catholicism is simply not possible.

III) It is a Christian's duty to point out heresy, even when it comes with the Vatican seal. There have been writings on the nature of the papacy when heresy is invoked in its name.

IV) If JP2 truly valued the Catholic Church and Her doctrines, then he has failed miserably. During his 20+ years, he overseen the utter destruction of the Church and the rise of an era of total apostasy. He has promoted the New Order both in his own activity and over the Church.

Hey, I laughed. Of course, I've been laughing ever since I first started reading this thread with the list of heresies he pulled off of TrueCatholic.org. I really should be sad, since I'm a Catholic and apparently a couple of my co-religionists are Grade-A nitwits, but frankly this is too entertaining to be anything but funny.

I'd jump in with my 2 cents against Servus Dei, but it seems like everyone's doing an admirable job in the face of his invincible ignorance.

Sadly, the pope is growing sicker and weaker all the time...and we'll need a new one before long. Then Servus Dei will have to start collecting evidence of heresy on a new Freemason puppet. Better get a head start, friend; start researching the background of all the eligible cardinals NOW.

What do you believe constitutes an infallible basis, aside from speaking ex cathedra?

Would SD please respond to this?

Your opinion, not fact.

II) They differ greatly on so many issues, reconciling JP2's actions with traditional Catholicism is simply not possible.

And they used to burn people at the stake too. Talk about living in the past!

III) It is a Christian's duty to point out heresy, even when it comes with the Vatican seal. There have been writings on the nature of the papacy when heresy is invoked in its name.

The entire catholic church is heretical! Using a pagan language(Latin) not spoken by Christ(who spoke Aramaic), is a heresy!

IV) If JP2 truly valued the Catholic Church and Her doctrines, then he has failed miserably. During his 20+ years, he overseen the utter destruction of the Church and the rise of an era of total apostasy. He has promoted the New Order both in his own activity and over the Church.

It's irrelevant. The catholic church is heretical!

Welcome to Servus Dei(!!Latin!!), head of the Heretical Church!

If not evolve, they do change and become corrected from time to time.

The Catholic Church is always the same. Evolution of dogmas is CONDEMNED!

hrmmm... for some reason another church which clings to tradition comes to mind. i think it was one you condemned in the "a questions for christians" post. yes a church that ruled with an iron fist by tradition, and banished the messiah, hmm, seems to have slipped my mind.
