Did you do the traditional 'flinging crap at a politician', 'mooning the queen' or 'making the PM cry'?
Kiwis have such great National Holiday traditions!

Even worse! Due to the lack of Kiwis and the large number of Aussies, it was more of a Down Under fest. But I did enjoy the Stienlager. ;)

nah, NZ and oz have always been on the same side in war. Even when the brits were treating us like shit in WW1, we stuck up for each other. When the American soliders came and tried to knick our wives and gfs while the soldiers were on the other side of the world, the ANZAC boys were always in the same boat and looked out for each other. We may still have the bledisloe cup, but when it comes to war we're always on the same side.

BTW, before you guys make more nasty comments about the "yanks" , remember who posted this (and the only Australia day and ANZAC day post I've seen here).

On the otherhand, being from Texas, I'm no more a yank than any of you are Brits.... ;)

My 365 Days of Duct Tape Calendar suggested wearing a duct tape brace under loose-fitting clothing to prevent throwing out your back while doing the Waitangi. Is this an actual dance or is it just silly duct tape people pulling my leg?

The later. Waitangi is the location where the treaty of waitangi was signed, essentially founding New Zealand in its current form. The treaty itself was carted around for a while for other maori chiefs to sign, but the main bit was done on the 6th of feb 1840.

Urgh, didn't it suck that we got no weekday holiday.
I know this is kinda off-topic, but what do you guys reckon about changing the flag? I'm just interested in your opinions on it.

Ive already ranted about it.

About the flag
It's all well and good getting 300,000 Signatures but if they all want a different flag whats the point.?????????????

Plus if we need to change it because Keith Quinn cant tell the difference between us and Australia isnt he just blind?

And If "Normal New Zealanders" cant tell the difference between ours and the Joey-hoppers flag surely they should do as Muldoon said go to Australia and increase the IQ of both nations.

If we need to change it because people think we are Australia then that just means were unimportant so why bother?

Nah, it's not, mate. Lots of it is bottled or canned in Auckland, but it's brewed in Dunedin. Anyway, I think that's largely immaterial. I couldn't care less if it were brewed in Kalamazoo, quite frankly, as long is it remained the same old Speights.

Peace,

cs.
